Re: Name that soft-sequencer!
Did Xores mean W7 as in Windows 7 or W7 as in Yamaha W7?
I interpreted it as Windows but if not, Tunafish doesn't sequence external synths so follow these guys advice!

Re: Name that soft-sequencer!
I found Tunafish to be a good no-nonsense sequencer.
Still has the same old Windows problem I guess but it saves a lot of cpu by not doing anything other than the absolute necessary.

Re: Name that soft-sequencer!
Excellent, thank you!
I was suspecting Cubase or Notator but that solves it.
Thanks again!

Name that soft-sequencer!
Just wondering if someone could ID this sequencer that Astral Projection are using in this video:
Fast forward to 1:32 to have a quick squiz.
Cheers!

Bought an X5Dr off roodujardin. A fantastic seller and a pleasure to deal with. Bonza-burgers all round.

Re: Quick Mirage Demo
Thanks. I'm still very much getting the hang of the Mirage. I've still got lots to learn but it's definitely easier to use than I expected, especially with the parameter card nearby. The hexadecimal's pretty logical too but I haven't delved into MASOS yet... I got all excited when I found someone ma...

Re: Quick Mirage Demo
Thanks. I'll check it out.
I've uploaded it to my Soundclick. I thought there was some way to embed individual songs on forums but I could nay figure it out. It's the first song on the list here:

Quick Mirage Demo
Here's some initial experimenting with some Mirage 8 Bit doom.
It does indeed turn everything I put into it into crud, sometimes a desireable crud, sometimes not.

Re: Any new modulars similar to EML?
Yeah, wasn't that his giant wall of EML? http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/3361/emlv.jpg Or was the Syntar guy a different person? I was interested in the MMM's when they came out but hadn't heard an update about them til this morning on Matrixsynth. I thought maybe they'd folded already. I haven't r...

Re: Any new modulars similar to EML?
Crikey. This is a big can of worms to be prying into!
From what I can tell so far, Livewire and Cyndustries seem to be pretty fun . Though so many combinations, how can anyone possibly decide?
I guess this is why Bob decided to shove the most common modules into a keyboard and be done with it.

Any new modulars similar to EML?
I was curious as to what companies are around at the moment that don't just replicate the old Moog style sound but do something a bit more esoteric like the old EML's or ARP 2500's even? I couldn't say I know exactly what it is that gives EML's and 2500's that glorious clangorous, metallic, sci-fi s...
