Thanks. I was allways wondering what the P2500 actually did. Whenever I looked up reviews no-one seemed to say if it was a Rompler or a synth. I've never looked into the V-Synth as it allways seemed to be overhyped and I've never given a thought to the K2600. How odd. Good food for thought there. Ch...

Right. Well a quick science degree or two and I'll try to fill the Niche!

Though one could argue a PC and a knob-box would do the job wouldn't they? Maybe I'll just have to master Csound...

In-depth, hands on digitals? Best of?

Right! Sorry for another annoying one. But in another youtube synth daze I came across that video of Laurie Spiegel playing the mighty Alles synth. http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=K4T3eT56GlA I just got wondering what we've got nowadays that has a similar logic; Where a digital synth is designed to be...

Wow, is there anything Doepfer don't do? That plan for the metal touchplate keyboard seems to fit the bill nicely.

Thanks for the info and links all.

Ah yes. Overlooked ol Sergy didn't I. Think I'll have to start saving some pennies then.

Also noticed MusicFromOuterSpace has a project for a controller type thing. Wonder if/how you'd be able to make a touchplate controller out of that.

Touchplate Keyboards?

Just wondering if anyone's heard of anyone making touchplate keyboards ala Buchla. I just saw a video on Youtube with Suzanne Ciani playing her Buchla and just thought it looked like an incredible way to connect with your instrument. Think I may have seen something from BugBrand with a similar thing...

Aye. T'would make sense. Can't imagine lugging a Synthi 100 on stage for a gig.
Though it was just a few VCS3's lobbed together itself wasn't it.

Either way, wouldn't mind one myself.

Speech Synth Plugin?

Just got me thinking, as I know speech synthesis programs aren't overly rare, but how about midi-able ones or even better vsti versions?

Just been listening to too much System and got wondering how they darn-well do it!

OK cool, thanks for the replies.

Well because I'm a self-proclaimed idiot I'm going about buying a 4600 untested. Though I'm seeing it more as a project, expecting it to be pretty dodgy.
But this one was made by a music store at least so here's hoping they knew what they were doing!

Cheers,
