Re: MFB Urzwerg Pro

Funny, as I seem to remember reading this somewhere before. :P

I am looking forward to this though. The original's one LED per row seemed like an annoying limitation. Also, the Urzwerg pro sequences midi ala Dark Time? Tangerine Casio fun ahoy!

Evolver Feedback & Grunge

Sorry if this has been covered already but I could nay find it.

Is it possible to use the feedback and grunge controls pre-filter on the Evolver?

I know this is possible on the Mopho but wasn't so sure about the Evolver line.

Re: Best option for saxaphone

Look at this vid. and you will see what I am talking about. If the synthesizer used here could download instrument sounds it should work. Problem is how would you go about getting other instruments into this machine? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8En0JwjaZU The problem with that machine is it's a...

Re: Best option for saxaphone

MS20 using the pitch to voltage converter then getting a cv-midi converter and plugging that into a rompler module?

How much would that cost compared to just buying some cheap bagpipes?

Re: Gear Trading Thread

Just putting this out there on the remote chance: I've got a Mirage keyboard and would like to trade it for either a Mirage rack or ESQ1 rack. I'd also be tempted by any rackmount hybrid poly's. EX8000, Emax etc. h**l if you have something interesting, let me know. I need the space and don't need th...

Re: Steane's?

Cool. Thanks, Tallow. It's already been reduced from $110(!) but I'll give it a bash anyhoo.

Looks like a good addition to my albatross collection. :)

Steane's?

I stumbled upon this ancient thing at the tip-shop today. I looked pretty much like this but with a removable lid on top. Apparently it works... http://dalmura.com.au/projects/Steanes%20Amp%20Front%20view%20s.jpg I figure it's a pre-amp of some kind. Though the inputs on the back looked like at leas...

Re: need a sequencer

I've had both and know what you mean. If it's any consolation, the silly grab-handles unscrew easily. But you're still stuck with a garish yellow or purple (silver if you're lucky) box if aesthetics are important to you. I found the RM1x much easier to figure out but the E-mu still isn't that hard t...

Re: need a sequencer

Just be sure to watch out for dodgy buttons on the RM1x.
I think you can get replacements easily enough on ebay if you're competent enough to replace them. Really killed the immediacy for me having to jam down on a button to activate a step.

I think they're available from MFB directly. There's a few videos on Youtube of the nano and micro. Dunno about the mega though.

Re: System 101 for modular gateway doooooom

Although it doesn't have a keyboard, I always recommend the new patch panel SEM from Tom Oberheim. I've been fighting off the GASy modular bug for quite some time and my few patchable, semi-modular synths keep me satisfied. Sorry I missed that recommendation. That's actually one of the two I was po...

Re: MFB Nanozwerg, Urzwerg, Microzwerg & Megazwerg

Add the Urzwerg Pro to the mix

http://www.mfberlin.de/Produkte/Musikel ... g_pro.html

4x8 LEDs sounds a bit of an improvement on 1 per row as before.
