23: Thanks so much, I'm going to give it a look see tonight. As far as not sending a PM, I figured this would be more or less something that other users would be interested in. As far as not putting it in the "Help" section, that would be me being typically well versed on internet etiquette. D'oh! A...

23: Since we're all talking Command Stations...

I've read over the manual a whole mess o' times but I haven't seemed to figure this one out: I have an MP-7 running the 2.0 OS. I'd like to use it in song mode to record a whole piece on the song track without breaking down into phrases, ie. hit record, play a drum track on CH1, then record a piano ...

Megawatt: Thanks for the reply. It'll be a bit before I pull the trigger on an MD but I plan on getting as much hands on practice with one before I do so. No too worried about timing drift. Nothing that I do is what you would call dance music - more spacey wash of noise stuff with sequencing and loo...

The monomachine has replaced my MPC 1000 as my main sequencer it's that easy. The arp is killer. I use it to drive all of my external gear. Awesome control and parameter locks running basslines from the Moog Voyager is killer. How does the MachineDrum's sequencer compare to the MonoMachine's? I've ...

How's about some Synth reviews in Haiku form?

Virus Indigo:

Swim deep in menus
A plethora of presets
Not cheap but real good

Evolver Desktop:

Little bright blue box
Spikey sounds emerge from you
Where is on off switch?

Akai AX60:

The most perfect patch
Is but a passing moment
Damned messy slider

1996. Wandering Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles and went into a guitar store that was closing (can't remember the name off hand). Was looking around to see if there were any deals on guitar pedals. Saw a keyboard crammed in sideways between a couple of boxes. Akai AX-60 for $300.00. Didn't really k...

M Audio Oxygen8 Oh man, let's not start listing battery powered controllers that don't make noise. Uh, it could be used as a percussion instrument. Wouldn't even need the batteries. And as a fellow SP404 afficiando you could possibly appreciate my loading a bunch of synthy / paddy / screechy noises...

That portable turntable thingy from Numark (PT-01)
M Audio Oxygen8
Mattel Synsonic

Palm Pilot and Bhaji Loops? That one kind of intrigues me.
