Re: Volca Sample MIDI
Hello all. Man, it's been a while. Although this is an older thread, this issue just came up for me last night. I just got the Arturia BeatStep Pro, and was wondering why one of my samples was triggering with the sequence running on channel 1. Lo and behold, the sample per channel issue. The reason ...

If anyone's interested, 2 slots remain (as of this afternoon) out of 30 total Blofeld preorders thru NovaMusik. Matt tried to spin optimistic on arrival in 2-4 weeks, but qualified this by commenting "yeah, it's Waldorf, they're historically slow." You have to be kidding me...another 2-4 week...

Can a TR-707?
Can you edit while a pattern is running like an 808 or 909 can?
Example For Those Unsure What I Mean
Is there anything else with MIDI and possibly even sampling that can be used in this same way?

I've seen two different cases like this. One was just a misalignment, the other was broken. In both instances, the pivot point was at the very back of the key, and the spring was in front of it. The key slipped forward slightly and came away from the retaining mechanism. The spring tension then push...

Just shoot for something knobby/slidery to assist in your learning and you can't go wrong with anything Moog, Yamaha, or Korg fitting that description. The price of any of that is always steadily climbing. I think that's your truth right there. Front panel control helps you learn to mentally grasp ...

Ya know, I have learned that my K-1 can really make some amazing sounds, and I think it's one of the most "limited" synths I've ever seen. Once I learned to translate the terms used on the controls (Traveler=Filter, Bright=Resonance, etc), it became much easier to "program" and get what I'm looking ...

Well, I can't judge either from experience, but I personally am planning to get an X-Station strictly for portability. The fact that it can run on batteries and has preamps make it a perfect inexpensive mobile solution (for my needs). There may be potential for recording synth parts, but I look at i...

I've recently learned that ther is plenty of power to be had in a single oscillator synth. My Mini-Korg put out some decent sounds with a little work, but the Polysix has surprised the s**t out of me. You can check out OriginalJambo's Polysix demo on YouTube. His video is what convinced me to pull t...
