Re: Favorite "dirty" synth?

Oscar do u have one of those? pretty hard to find... No but a good mates had one for years (amongst many other analogue monsters) and its still king of dirt mainly because the main volume is also an analogue overdrive when cranked up over a certain threshold. Not tried a 777 (yet) but the Oscar is ...

Re: New Andromedas are here

From demos the Prophet 08 sounds nice and juicy but although more impressive feature wise I've still yet to hear anything to bowl me over from an Andromeda. :?

Re: Synths with built in MIDI to CV/Gate converters ?

The Pulse has an excellent MIDI/CV converter as the spare CV2 can output any modulation source from inside the synth e.g synced LFO, envelope 1/2, velocity, CC#, ect. It can also interface with Korg's htz/v. The FutureRetro Revolution's sequencer can output CV/gate (+ accent on the mkII) too if that...

Re: Korg M1 Vs. Roland D-50

If forced at gunpoint between the two it would be the D50 with the PG1000 programmer methinks , at least you can make some weird textures and Jarre Revolution sounds.

The M1 is the just the blueprint for your plain jane MIDI ROMpler.

Re: Elka Synthex "Laserharp" sound... How?

The Supernova 2 has a preset called "Rondezvouis 2 hard" at loc: E071 that does it pretty close and I thought I was the only person into synths in Preston (well it seemed that way when I went upstairs in soundcontrol) You'd be very surprised at some of the synths that can be found around these part...

Re: Elka Synthex "Laserharp" sound... How?

The AN1X is excellent for this (and other Jarre sounds)as the symphonic chorus can sound very much like the Synthex's rich analogue chorus FX. http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=12e4f7977c8bf836ab1eab3e9fa335cabd29aa3a172933bb VCO sync with a touch of ring mod and feedback with a slow decay on the p...
