Re: NEW DSI Tetr4 -4 voices of Mopho In a Box!

what about these morph functions with the pro software?

are they like the morph groups on the Nord Modular, how many do you get and will it work without the software?

Nord Mod G1 DSP expansion, is it worth it?

I'm tempted by the reissue DSP expansions that came out recently but they are quite pricey (in fact about the same as a G1 rack for UK buyers with VAT ect) so what exactly does it offer? Am I still limited by a certain amount of modules for any patch but with more polyphony? Does it double the amoun...

Re: what the tb-303 offer more then the x0xb0x?

does the x0xb0x do that strange liquidy overdriven resonance at high accent/high res settings or have that punchy rubbery compressed accented bass? this is the area where the clones always fall shot imho. I could get close using a compressor on my old revoution but you have at adjust the settings/le...

Re: What Vintage Synth Would You Like to See Back in Production?

You should add getting rid of the Program/Patch/Wavesequence architecture to that list. It used to frustrate the h**l out of me that changes to a patch would modify all related performances, while changing a wavesequence would alter both the patch it was in and the program the patch was in. Just ma...

Re: Your synths and their function/place within your setup

Nord Modular - digital, FX & percussion

Vostok V1 - analogue city with hybrid glitch sounds

Monomachine - powerful main sequencer and immediate synth architecture + sequential audio manipulation

Sherman 2 - extreme analogue where the Vostok doesn't go

Kaoss 3 - performance FX and resampling

Re: So... What's up at Elektron?

I bet it would be something like a phrase/loop FX box like an expanded concept of the UW RAM machines but with larger memory, more mash up functions and dedicated UI primarily for live/DJ use....

.....well I hope. :?

Re: Digital V.A.S.T

The K2000 ROM samples are some of the best I've heard with no shitty octave mulitsample or Mick Mouse aliasing, the V.A.S.T. is another one of those impressive looking things on paper but in reality it's only basic time stretching and distortion/wavewrapping that either does very little or too much ...

Re: Nord Micro Modular: First Impressions

The micro is good if you want a little bit of the nord modular in a bigger hardware setup especially as an effetcs/processor unit, as a stand alone unit it may not be such a wise choice especially if the majority of you gear is software.

Try using it with some inexpensive MIDI controller.

Re: What synth = what car?

Since I drive an Audi (though not an R8... dream on), does that mean I should get a Monomachine? :) Everyone should get a Monomachine! :D Oh I thought of another one..... http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~jeffiseverywhere/yamaha-gx1-1.JPG http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2006/2006-Bugatti-Veyron-Targa...

What synth = what car?

On the strength of the very successful and entertaining 'what celebrity' thread I think it would be good to have a bit of fun with cars too! :D http://www.sequencer.de/pix/clavia/nord_modular.jpg http://www.verdictoncars.com/features1/F40_wp0_400.jpg http://www.vanille-media.de/images/nordmodular-g2...
