Re: A fast 80s Melodic Synth Instrumental Using Free Synths
Thanks! I see you have a Juno 60, have you tried the Tal Uno vst's? you can download them here: http://kunz.corrupt.ch/?Products:VST_TAL-U-No-62 If so, what are they like in comparison the real Juno you have? well it's a pretty accurate impersonation. I can get it sounding very similar to my 60. it...

Re: Ableton Live 8 - WOW!
yeah i'm getting it a lot better now I'm actually having some fun with it now. I dont' think I'll need reason after all. I've downloaded a bunch of live packs with drum kits, etc. and I'm downloading a bunch of VSTs too. I could use a better midi controller because right now i'm using an m-audio tri...

Re: Ableton Live 8 - WOW!
I have live 7.0.3. I really don't like the warp feature. It works okay for loops that are already made but if I record something and it warps it, it sounds like a skipped cd in some spots. I usually click on master and uncheck warp after I record something. I'm also using Adobe Audition 3.0 to edit ...

Re: Computer Midi to Synth
so i just got ableton. goodness, it's a lot to learn to just to use this. Oh well, I'm gonna learn how to use this program and just hope that whatever i learn has some transferability to other programs.

Computer Midi to Synth
Anyone know of any programs that you can take whatever you've played in midi and output to synth or perhaps even use software as a sequencer for actual synths.
I've been thinking of getting Reason or Ableton because i've been told that they use a lot of midi features.

Re: Juno 60 Questions
thanks nathan. well today i opened it up and I have this odd way of fixing things. see what i did was i opened it and unscrewed that whole part, brushed it off a little and then put it back together. for some reason it works fine now, so now when i move the vcf/dco sliders up or down it no longer ef...

Juno 60 Questions
I've been playing with this synth for a while and noticed it does some quirky things. I think some are just natural but I think perhaps some could be due to something else (hopefully just a dying battery). Question 1: Is it normal for some patches to arpeggio better than others? I know some sounds j...

Re: Prophet 600 vs Prophet 08
I think I've only heard a few decent samples ever come out of prophet. I haven't really been impressed with most of the demos I've come across. I'm not a big fan of the prophet. If I had money to blow I'd probably buy one to see what the big deal is but I wouldn't expect to be amazed. I think that s...

Both of these synths are awesome but if you had to pick between one or the other which would you pick?

Re: DJ Mixer?
http://www.tablist.net/v2.5/node/1312 this is just me cutting over a loop. i used a delay pedal and i was just messing around with panning the sound. i like the tascam xs-8 mixer. it's super cool. the mixers have nice cut ins and it has a nice warm sizzly sound but in no ways distorted. it's has the...
