Which synthesizer(s) do you regret getting or selling

My dad and I do car shows a lot and I always hear from the older people there hey I had one of those when they were new, and I sold it when I went into the service, or when I got married and I kick myself for getting rid of it. Now I wonder if any of you dudes and dudettes have any moments like that...

Re: What is the Oldest Piece of Gear in Your Studio?

hard to tell, synthesizer wise would be My Oddy from 1973 or my mini from 74', Organ would be from 1965, and my guitar beats them all since it's from 1964

Re: What instrument have you had the longest?

Mine would be my DX-7 I got from my grandfather when I was 4, that was back in 1992, and I have had it ever since, though it seldomly gets played because I kinda bashed it up when I was in my younger days. I should had taken better care of it #-o

Re: What was your first synth?

Outside of the DX-7 I have also used a PSS-90 and a PSS-470 for my first talent show which was in 8 grade, fun times with simple gear :D

Re: Which Synth Had The Worst User Interface Ever?

I guess the guys that harp on about how awful the DX7 interface is haven't really used one properly or learned how to program the synth. Just looked at the bewildering amount of unfamiliar options, screamed "WHERE'S THE f**k FILTER CUTOFF?!!!" and ran home crying :) It's actually ingenious to use, ...

Re: Which Synth Had The Worst User Interface Ever?

The Yamaha SY-55, I have had that thing for several years before I sold it, and man it had some sick sounds but the control of it was ghastly you literally had to pound the buttons to change anything over, and that stupid 2 by 20 led Screen was about all I could handle, The midi control on it was am...

Even though the DX-7 was my first synth I did do my first couple live shows using a YPT 300 and a PSRE 403 as my meat and potatoes along with the DX-7 and A PSR-6 for my first talent show lol

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?

Craigslist dreams can still really come true; this afternoon, $50 bought me this: http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/6936/imgp1204s.jpg The best part is, aside from the wheel and trigger (which obviously need to be re-attached), it works 100%   I think this officially beat...
