Re: Korg ER1 Midi Question

right. Korg did add note filtering on the EMX/ESX, but it's missing from all of the oldies.

Re: I just bought a NL2x. I'm sooooo disappointed...

i despise outboard gear No you don't. What? Really? What? Why? - CM  okay, well, i suppose i don't despise outboard effects themselves , but i really don't like patching out; i don't like the cabling; the extra steps; dealing with each manufacturer's different and often quirky methods of patch...

Re: Trying to create my first Drum Machine

killedaway: I'm literally trying to build it from the ground up. I've come across somebody who put together an xOxbOx, but I really want to make it from scratch. I'm making the body out of legos even. :) ahh, okay then. that sounds really tough, but good luck to you. you'll probably learn a thing o...

Re: Trying to create my first Drum Machine

I've molded several bass patches on my juno106, as well as several drum kits on the 909/mc303/reason and ableton live software. I suppose I could go with a sampler, but figured a ROMpler would be more inexpensive for now. i still didn't catch if you are trying to find a build-it-yourself kit, where...

Re: Trying to create my first Drum Machine

No I want to design my own drum machine. Since I'm a complete noob at building these I wanted my first one to be ROMpler based, because that would be relatively easy (at least I think it would be relatively easy) as opposed to making a pure analog machine. okay. i just couldn't understand why you w...

hmm... you want to buy a drum machine, or you want to design one yourself? why are you looking for ROMplers?

i don't see how you could possibly arrive at that conclusion just because there's a lot up on Ebay.

Re: bad buttons on your Electribe (or similar?) read on...

i'm surprised about the guy saying the stuff is messy. obviously, it's wet and prone to dripping or running, but it's also quite thick. i didn't find it messy in the slightest. i should, however, caution anyone that uses it to be careful in your initial application, and clean up any spills or streak...

Re: Korg MS2000 - a classic in the making?

I'm sort-of getting tired of button pushers (who have nothing to say and don't even "play") ... There was an electronic chick at a show I played at last night with a MicroKorg and an MPC1000 ... Each of her "songs" were great for about 15 seconds ... but not the, oh I don't know, 15 minutes she see...

Re: 1st Synth - Is £300 good for an Alesis ION?

i had an Ion for years, but finally sold it last December. it's an excellent VA that is just absolutely jam-packed with versatility; it's really one of the few VAs where you can route things almost any way you can think of, and constantly come up with new ideas, far beyond those of your bread and bu...

Re: Beginner Synth.

it's too bad they're hard to find near you, as the MS2000 seems like it's exactly what you want. i would not recommend a microKORG if it's your first synth. the sound is great, but the keys and lack of knobs is going to slow the learning process a lot (but once you're comfortable with the idea, grab...

glad to hear you got it fixed. opening synths can be daunting, but it's a good learning experience too, and makes opening the next one a little less scary.
