Re: Synth prices going up

You know what I used my TR-505 for? Circuit bending. Sounds a h**l of a lot better than it did when I bought it.

Re: Circuit Benders: Getting Sounds into CASIO CTK-574

Let me help you out here: 1) Buy one of those samplers you hate so much, but actually do EXACTLY what you're looking for. 2) Spend time filling one of these with your glorious samples and setting it up to recall it as you need it. 3) Buy a MIDI controller and MIDI cable of suitable length. 4) Build ...

Lexicon MX200. I own two, and they're glorious. Other than that, put the extra 100 in and go Eventide.

Re: MIDI Keyboard/Table?

This is going to be a tough one. I'm putting things like Kaoss Pads, Mu-Tron pedals, Electribes, etc. The smallest thing by far is an MXR Phase 90, then from that, an Eventide Pitch Factor. Guessing I'll have to go the DIY route.

MIDI Keyboard/Table?

So, this may sound crazy, but I'm looking for a MIDI controller with a large, flat surface that I could put desktop synths, FX pedals, etc on top of. Is this something that exists? I realize nothing has probably been made with this in mind, but I know there are things out there that match this descr...

Re: Analogue Additive Synthesizer

^ Beat me to the punch on the Hammond Drawbar Organ. The modular route is also viable. Beyond that, there are hybrids like to Korg Poly 800 that will give you an analog additive sound.

Re: Most intuitive/educational current analogue monosynth?

Korg MS20 Mini, Deopfer Dark Energy II, Arturia Minibrute/Microbrute, Moog Sub Phatty, Moog Minitaur, Korg Arp Odyssey Re-Issue, or you can start building a modular! Modular is where it's at for intuitive design and teaching you all you need to know.

Re: Modular Midi Possibility

You do understand that the Doepfer Dark Energy will not send CC messages to your computer, correct? It's functionally useless to you unless you want a synthesizer outside of the computer. Your computer could control the pitch/gate of it, but it won't interact with your computer at all outside of tha...
