Re: HUGE MOOG MUSIC NEWS COMING MONDAY

...uh, did VSE really just censor that word? That thing 99% of humans do when we get lonely?

Re: A modular synth or a Buchla Music Easel?

There's always the MU approach. I have a modular system consisting of parts from Synthesizers.com, Moon Modular, and STG Soundlabs. There's also other manufacturers such as Club of the Knobs, SSL, Oakley, MOS-Lab, and so on. Don't know if space is an issue, though. With modular, start small. Make a ...

Re: Roland Gaia SH-01

In my opinion the Gaia sounds like plastic. Like when you leave a water sitting in a cheap plastic bottle in the sun and then you come back and some of the plastic has dissolved into the water and you try to have a drink but all you can taste is the plastic. That's how it sounds. Of course, if ther...

Re: Behringer discussing making ARP Odyssey now

Why all the dislike about them? People buy their stuff all the time, and if it helps people make music, then is it an issue? The biggest complaints I have about Behringer is that most of their equipment is just plain c**p, imo. Either shoddy build quality, way too much line level hiss, proprietary ...

Re: Interesting Article on the NAMM Site

Seems to me it's just tracking the rise in popularity of EDM in the USA. God bless you, SFX and iHeart Radio :keys1: I can tell you that in the Boston area where I live, there are far fewer synths on the floor at music stores than back in the 80s and 90s....guess everyone is buying theirs online :e...

Re: !Buying My first synth! helppp

Any of those synths would give you great modern sounds, but again, it comes down to what you're really after. What kind of music do you plan to make with it and what do you mean when you say that you like to add FX live right from the synth? Obviously build quality matters to you, but what else is a...

Re: New hybrid digital/analogue Roland Synth?

Like everybody else, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm open to it sounding good and to love it, but again, I just don't believe Roland is going to do this OR even do it right. I mean, analog oscillators and DIGITAL filters?

This would be wonderful. I bet with modern components, you could easily bring this into the $300 range.

This is awesome! Keep going with this, and I'll second that you should send this to labels.
