Re: Lexicon MX-200. Opinions?

I have two. Nice Lexicon sound on a budget. This isn't a damn PCM rack, but it will get you there in style. Nice clean reverb, delays, and echoes, useable modulation, I'll second the compressor being nice. It's a lot of bang for the buck.

Re: Dead serious stupid noob DJ-ing question...

People used to give DJs s**t for being "non musicians", but wow...the new crop is terrible. I actually showed up to an event to play live (12 synth rig), and actually had a DJ turn to me and ask me "what are all those keyboards for?". I politely informed him that I was about to do what he was about ...

You already have stuff that's far more capable. Skip it.

Re: Behringer to make analog polysynths !

There have been Behringer products I'm surprised by, but most of the time, they fail miserably. I'm open to this thing being a gem, but I can't shake that voice in my head that keeps saying "M-Audio Venom Part 2".

Re: Akai Analog Drum Machine

Not great, but I feel like this was a c**p demo. I'll wait to see what people do with them in the wild. Beyond that, I feel like I'd have one just because it would be a good tool for the price point.

$250 (+ $10 for shipping) for a Poly 61 voice board? How high do you have to be to think this is acceptable?

Re: Roland Aira System 1--SonicState review vid

I just don't get the appeal here aside from the high resolution pots and the possibilities of this whole plug out thing. Other than that, you're paying way too much for a dedicated VST controller.

Re: I don't want to play piano

There's nothing wrong with learning how to play properly, but be sure to have fun first. Create your own raw, unrefined style that allows you to be your own musician and then get into learning proper play styles and theory to refine your play style.

Re: AN1X Repairs? Worth It?

If the battery is low the display will say "Battery Low" upon start up. To initialize a patch you just type in "130" and it should come up with something that just says "initialize patch?" and then will give you a set of starting points to choose from (i.e. Normal, sync, pwn, bass, etc) and you just...
