Re: Why buy hardware synths?

i could come up with a list of pros and cons for both hardware and software, which would be easy to do and prolong the discussion. There are simply too many factors involved to make a direct argument for one or the other and all of them are subjected to the point of view of the individual making the...

Re: fl hate

it's hated because it's probably the most cracked software out there and those 15 year old kid shaving fun with it are stuck in their forums swearing, trolling, not bothering to read the manual and demanding answers on how to make their beats sound better on their Circa 1998 Hp running 98's and clog...

RMX1 opinions

I just picked up a nifty Roland MIDI patchbay on Ebay and what I was wanting to do was maybe look into a 16 (at least) channel sequencer that I could route through the patch bay and send a channel or a two to the virus, another few to the Microx and so on. Just some general questions if you'll give ...

Effects chains for VSTs?

Ive been working alot with G-Sonique's Renegade synth, and while i think it has presence and potential, it just doesn't sound as vast or deep as my hardware synths. I admit this is also partly a turn off for me to softies in general, but before i write them off completely, im wondering if a good eff...

well, i can relate... ive gotten really bored with my softsynths except for sake of convenience. I cant put my finger on my dissatisfaction, but lately everything has been sounding like all the natural dynamics of the sound have been stripped out. I feel like i'm given so little to work with sonicly...

recording loops / audio in ableton live?

anybody have any tips for recording loops into live? i'm trying to record sequences from my electribes & synths into the clips and it seems like i can never get them to match up. one of the problems i have is that the warp markers (or the ones that give you the 1, 1.2 break down) are between the bea...

Don't forget that many commercial soft synths have free demo versions to download. I like GMedia's synths (impOSCar, oddity, etc), and also Sylenth1.
wow... those are my top 3 VSTi, exactly. those are my go to with the korg legacy DE being the rompling backup.

At what point do they become public domain? What does it matter? Copying and selling something that was not yours to begin with is unethical. Were assuming permission was not obtained and we're disregarding transactions such as license transfers and the like. I'm a hard a*s about this kind of stuff...
