i want to say it was a CS for lack of information :( Good as VSE is, I know it misses a few here and there.. and i was hoping something slipped through the cracks. I want to say it's a CS30 from the looks of it, as I recall it having a blue tinted panel, slightly. it's possible someone made a carpet...

Need help IDing vintage yamaha synth...

this is from memory, no pics sorry :( but the first time I ever played a synth was in 8th grade music class. They had a yamaha synth in a back room along with some other stuff we could mess around with on fridays. anyway, I recall that it kept the CS / MS look with the raised panel , it looked porta...

So I guess their actual performance hasn't changed much the last 10 years then. feh. I suppose not, when was the reboot tour? 98 ish eh ? they're probably padding their wallets like the sisters of mercy and other countless groups on the euro circuits with no real new material in decades .. and the ...

But live is another thing. I bought a fairly new 242 DVD, and it's kind of sad. There's two middle-aged guys in glittering blue "trance gear" trying to look 20 years younger, and the vocalist is bouncing about as if he had the duracell bunny up his buttcrack, with bleached spiky hair, doing his ver...

I really love that era in that last vid.. but the chanting gets a bit three stoogish or mark brothers in retrospect lol ha ha ho ho hee hee hawee..... but, I love it. and the up evil alblum. i think at their origins they were just minimal / dark synthpop. which makes sense you know they were just ta...

IMHO I think it's the programming. I think the progamming that people were doing back then is what they thought the future sounded like. But that doesn't mean the synth just sounds more futuristic, people were doing plenty of non futuristic sounding things with the same synths back then. Futuristic ...

I want that keyboard stand in the second video. When I think of the five years I lived in the 80's this is what I think. Playing Nintendo and drinking Crystal Pepsi. crystal pepsi wasn't sold until the 90's. 92-93 I think. i used to buy it all the time at the grocery store I worked at. I surprised ...

typicallyl that's what I do with mine, I run the filter wide open and run the audio through my modular gear. Im really wanting the polyvox filter as I think that would sound awesome with the 800.

polys over 300? only a fool would pay that. They shouldn't sell over 150$ max . . I just looked and there's a few highly inflated ones on ebay right now.. mainly cause they have been modded. Just suckers looking to turn a quick buck I guess.. I wouldnt pay 2.5 times the price for that..

well in theory, there's alot you can do with this sort of mod. from what i've read it works on the software level rather than the physical hacks have been previously done. I also agree as I dont get why korg would care about this .. since it's not produced by them. This is in the same vein as devilf...
