Anyone who could point me where I can actually buy a CD or MP3 of the original instrumental version ? I'd be very grateful.

Re: SPL Vitalizer

I picked up one of the old old models off ebay the other day. My initial tests resulted in wall rumbling bass being added without making the source sound like c**p. I don't know how much of it is EQ and how much is phase trickery, though, since I had it wired between the console and the monitors. T...

Posting here since EU has been down all day... but Jezus, you guys are freaks, some of you almost sound like whining stock investors. Since you have plenty of time discussing this "highly interesting" topic I take it for granted your contribution for Daniel's tribute is already in actuel's mail box....

I have a NL2x permanently midied to the Monomachine.
The fact that I can sequence 4 additional tracks + patch it in the Monomachine inputs and process further there makes it a keeper for me.

Nord and Mono go along very well imho.

It's a slightly different proposition than a straight-up compressor, but I tried out my MDUW through a EL Fatso for an hour or two yesterday, and it was pretty amazing. There is a preset compressor in there, and it seems like a pretty good all-purpose comp. The transformers and warmth circuits make...

The silly really refers to the guys only talking about cheap stuff during the interview only to find later in the article that highend processors were (obviously) used. If you didn't scroll down to the end of the article, you could easily be misled to be able to capture their sound by using a cheap ...

I consider myself lucky having found a discontinued Samson PL2404 on Ebay Germany two years ago. Paid EUR 250 while the new price was about 800. Maybe worth looking on the bay. See specs here http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=62&brandID=2 For live playing I'd recommend deskto...

This is an artical that has a kit list and also a fine interview. http://www.popplagid.com/newspapers/sigur_ros_future_music_2005.htm I really love these articles where bands praise cheap stuff like Boss pedals/racks and then when you read further you'll stumble onto Lexicon 960L, Mutronics, Empiri...

I can't work with the RAM...I like to save listen the next day, tweak, listen the next day, etc. You are aware that RAM can easily be copied to ROM - it's one of my favourite features, capturing whatever with RAM and when it works well - simply copy to ROM and continue work the next day ... or week...

SPL (Sound Performance Labs) has quality easy to use gear at affordable prices. Check out their Vitalizer model if you need EQ. Now that I have the Vitalizer I'm gassing for the Vitalizer Tube model ;=)
