You can do some seriously cool things - have 1 drumkit in one oscillator, another in the ...

Re: Emulating water with synthesis

Robert henke did a ... video i think? messing around in live.. he started with a droplet sound made from an altered kick drum, then used some delays and other bits and pieces to turn a single drop into the sound of heavy pouring rain... nothing crazy, but it might be inspirational.

Re: Need a Basic Sampler with Pretty Basic Features

when you say 7-8 tracks, do you mean layers, or separate ones that you will play one after the other?

also do you need to be able to alter the BPM live?

The SP samplers dont do timestretching and theres not really any way to sync up loops, so it depends what you want to do with them.

Re: Everything Everything

can't say what brand modules he's using, but just looks like a custom made modular case. as for the song the synth parts I identified should all be doable with any average VA - if you wanted to get into more complex patterns than the repeating blips in this video you might like something with a step...

Re: Audiobus for iPad now released

Is there any form of synchronization?

Also I'm trying to see how you would use 2 audio apps at the same time - some kind of split-screen view?

Re: I need a "sequencer"?

Yup, that will work fine.

If you go to the 'actions' menu you can then go send->sysex file, I haven't used it myself just figuring it out from a quick glance at the program.

Re: I need a "sequencer"?

You don't need a sequencer, you can use something like a sysex librarian, or midi utility program. Do you use windows or mac? There are a few free options for each.

A sequencer also referred to as DAW would be something like Cubase, Logic, Live, Fruityloops, Reason, etc.

Re: Midi Switch

I'm trying to find a midi switch for my setup, something like this basically: http://www.philrees.co.uk/products/pix/2sphoto.jpg Something cheap that is able to switch between two midi paths like the one in the picture. I just have two synths I want to control with my Maschine as the sequencer, but...
