Re: get sh-32, lose microkorg?

It's cool to have the supersaw oscillator, but bare in mind the stepping on the SH32 is the worst of any synth I've ever experienced - so if you like live filter tweaking it is simply not the box to get.

MS2000 latch off.... :/

Very simply, there doesnt appear to be a way to turn off a latched key, without switching the whole arp section off and back on. Hoping someone can correct me on this, or that there is a specific mode that needs to be selected/etc... Seems extremely weird, given that most synths keys just act as tog...

Re: alesis micron as multi timbral module

As far as I'm aware it will be fine but like you say, some synths are odd.

If you want to get a better idea downloading the manual might help

Re: small portable sampler for mellotron-sounds?

You don't want to multisample a mellotron, just sample each key but don't loop it. But that IS multi sampling? The SP only holds 12 samples, that's not enough for each and every key. And a VP 9000 can't multisample either. M-Tron is good, but the sound quality is not as good as the Mike Pinder lege...

Re: New Elektron box--Analog Four

Definitely a tempting package - I am cringing at the amount of dubstep people are going to make it though, using filter chain mode + the sequencer/lfos.

Re: Forum etiquette and appropriate place to post

Most forum users dont just peruse, they use the 'view new posts' option when they come to the site. this shows all new posts regardless of section, so there may be some difference in number of people viewing, but A) it would not be that much, and B) all the forum regulars who know the most are proba...

Re: New Elektron box

I reserve my judgement until I see what they have done with the 4 voice analog synth. I mean everyone can vaguely guess given elektron's style, but I am wondering how different it will be.

Re: Anyone remember the MPC Fly ?

technically the blofeld is an updated microQ, but I suppose the stromberg is an updated Q(+), I just meant something less different - literally a Q with a few tweaks. It's still quite a desirable synth compared to most VAs of today

Re: Cleaning mouse piss off a PCB?

I would say use isopropyl alcohol because it just evaporates almost instantly so you dont have to worry about any of it not drying properly, but I'm not sure if the alcohol could react chemically with the concentrated piss residue...

Re: Anyone remember the MPC Fly ?

at least SOMETHING materialized from waldorf... and it looks like the pulse 2 is gonna happen for reals too!

I think the stromberg was an insane idea really.. Perhaps an updated Q could work instead?
