Re: Best Software to create beats

Personal I use Ableton live, drumracks and I group my sounds in sub groups in kick, snare, hi-hat and so on. I use gate effects for dynamics and reverb, delay for making stuff wierd, and I would use the Sugarbytes "Effectrix" for the last little bit.

Re: Nord Micro Modular vs Waldorf Blofeld

The software editor has only one menu, and thats the grey screen where you create your patches from. I would not consider that as menu diving. Though I was really confused when I was trying out the blofield, and anoyed because of the little screen and all those options, if they pull out a software e...

Re: Nord Micro Modular vs Waldorf Blofeld

I would at any time take the micro modular over the blofield. Mostly because I hate menu diving. I think that the micro is the most flexible synthesizer for the money, I tried the Blofield for an hour ( I know this not enough time to get into a synth of that kind) but the thought of having a modular...

Is it hard to make it a mac plugin? I could really use some Sh-2 sound among my other vst´s...? :)

Re: Pheonix's synthesisers

They are a great band, the 1901 you linked to is a fantastic single. Though I allways thougt that their synth sound was more like roland jx-series, or something like that.

Re: Where can I learn circuit design?

If only you were Danish! I know that there are some great books in English though. I bet a few of the nerds on here know some of them. Why is it a pro to be Danish? :) I belive, that there is no easy way to learn it, I have optained some basics skills from my first semester of electro engineering. ...

Re: Live 8 is announced

Ah, this seems like the appropriate place to put this. I upgraded from Live 6 to 7 about a month or so ago. Today I got an email from Ableton advising me to upgrade to 8 and also get Collision and Latin Percussion. At first I thought, "Great! How much is this gonna cost me..." Turns out that this u...

Re: TAL-U-No-62 & Bassline

I think the uno62, sounds rather close to the real thing, It's really nice to make those classic Juno sounds, and the Bassline, does sound sound very agressive and with a bit of eq´ing, it gets real nasty. I have never heard the real thing, but for bass, that VST is good. I like it, and together wit...

Noisy outputs on micro modular.-.

Yep, my micro modular sounds like a old LP (not little phatty, though that could be cool!), and it's not the cables, all off the outputs, both 1 & 2 + phones, can I it fix in some way?

Re: everybody fruity looped

Yeah, ok, but when I worked in FL I allways got lost, because you all your vst's, samples and so on, were in one window, so I allways ended being really really anoyed and confused on the program, but it has been a good thing for me to get away from FL, I'm making much more stuff now, and my producti...

Re: everybody fruity looped

Hmm, maybe, what makes a pattern? When you press the play all midi clips in the live mode, i would say that the play all clip button, is a making pattern, but that dosent mean a thing. I heard some talking about a compressor that's allways on in FL, but maybe it's just me. And maybe it's just a matt...

Re: everybody fruity looped

If you want an easy to use pattern based sequencer for softsynths and samples it's hard to beat. Ever tried Ableton live 7 out..? I worked with fruity loops for a while, but it really sucks compared to Ableton. When you export things they sound so different from what you originally composed and rec...
