Re: reflections on NOT having an Andromeda

There are a couple of idiots selling their A6 for 4000$ on ebay  They red that the A6 is discontinued and bam !!! they realized they can milk some $$$ from collectors.

But after seeing Jupiter8 at 6.000$, CS80 at 10.000$ and so on... well... who wants my A6 for 4000$ ???

Re: reflections on NOT having an Andromeda

If you feel better not having it... what's the problem? I feel bad thinking on not having one. I bought the Andromeda in late 2005. 5 year passess and I think I have only scratched the surface of this synth. It's sound is not "in your face" like the Prophet 08 (well think about buying a P08 or a Pol...

Re: playstation startup screen: what synth?

The PS1 has an internal synth engine for sure. A lot of game music is played by the synth itself with some samples loaded here and there. So It's not so strange if the boot jingle is done all with internal sounds.

Korg (DW/EX) 8000 vs Waldorf MICROWAVE 1

Few weeks ago I bought a Waldorf Microwave 1 rev A. Browsing several sound banks it seems to me that the "analog" palette reminds me my Korg EX8000. Doing strings and pads using standard "analog" wave in their osc they sounds quite similar. The EX8000 is a little bit wider... I mean the same pad sou...

Re: New Mono Synth from Vermona

I really can't understand all this hype for the MONO when: 1) DSI Mopho is cheaper, far more features and memories 2) DSI Evolver it's same price far more features and memories 3) MFB synth 4) It looks ugly If this MONO will cost half than their announced street price I can see a market for this... ...

Re: Would you buy a PPG Wave if you had the opportunity for

I like the PPG sounds I heard in a lot of Tangerine Dream tracks, but I'm really happy with my Microwave 1 Rev.A. Imho it just cover that sounds far better than the "previous" Microwave2 I had for two years. The Microwave 1 is more limited but it has a great warm growling "digital" analog sound... v...

Re: MOPHO vs EVOLVER (Kb or desktop)

I don't want both... that's why I asked this. I have the evolver desktop, bought a MEK and now I'm selling the evolver. But before buing the MEK I was thinking about a Mopho keyboard. I like those 2octave/3octave synth and the DSI overall sound.. .so it seemed to me the best choice... well before se...

MOPHO vs EVOLVER (Kb or desktop)

MOPHO and EVOLVER: What give you more pleasure in use and why ? I would like to have some info from ppl who own both. my experience: I really wanted a Mopho KB but... but I found a 2nd hand Mono Evolver Keyboard for less than the price of the MophoKb... so now it's time for my evolver desktop to lea...

Re: mopho keyboard vs moog lp stage 2

That's quite strange... In Italy the Mopho Keyboard is 795€ (971.509 USD) because we have a damn 20% vat... but I just bought (yesterday) a 2nd hand MEK for 650€ (794.215 USD)...

...1000$ is really overpriced for a 2nd hand.

Re: mopho keyboard vs moog lp stage 2

Why not considering a 2nd hand DSI Mono Evolver Keyboard (MEK)? It will cost you like the Mopho but it will give you something interesting. 3 octave keyboard, 4 osc (2 analog and 2 digital), step sequencer, arpegiator, built in delay with feedback, audio in to process your thing... and last but not ...

There are some of those. Then you do a good deed if you ripp them of. Like Robin Hood, and give the Memorymoog to me...
that's quite an interesting point of view.

Re: Possible synth find...Wish me luck.

I think this thing is somekind of "stealing". I mean let's suppose it's a Jup8... Are you able to take it for free even if YOU KNOW WELL the value of the thing? i'm an atheist too... but if there is something that can't make you sleep is the awareness your are fooling people. or maybe we are all too...
