Re: Is the SE ATC-1 manual online anywhere?

selling expensive manuals is balls, I'm mean anyone whoever wants a nice manual will probably buy one even if the info is free. I think the biggest thing that sucks about it is that you can't immediately access the information if you need to like every other musical instrument online and who wants ...

Re: RM1x alternative for live performance?

As far as I could find out, the bug lies in the OS, which is stored on an Eprom-Chip. Only the first models (don't know up to which serial number) with the old OS have this problem. Getting a new OS into the RM1x needs a replacement of this Eprom-Chip. Yamaha used to do the upgrade for the owners o...

Re: RM1x alternative for live performance?

I am looking for a nice hardware sequencer to add to live performance. I should replace my RM1x, which really is a great Sequencer, but f****s up playing external gear, by always sending program changes, even though PC-sending is disabled in the midi setup! I've heard stories about this bug... can ...

Based on how much I like my XS, I'd potentially be interested in a FR analogue drum machine.

How is the Red Eye different from the SE1x? Please go into detail!
I think Pheonix2224 pretty much nailed it.

Re: Taking the SE1X plunge!

I've heard the have been issues with stepping? Is this true? I'm pretty sure it was the older SE-1 that had the poorly quantized filter knob. Like Carey said, I believe that the issue was the encoder translation for the filter, that could be fixed with an update/upgrade. I've got a SE1-X Red Eye, m...

Re: Old Virus, Old Nord, for that matter all "Old" versions

A friend has done a fair bit of stage management involving psy-trance acts, they always specify a Lead 2 over a Lead 3 for what it's worth.

but nothing beats the Stromberg vaporware saga, and whole fiasco with empty box with a lamp inside. gotta be the lamest move in synth industry marketing ever. I didn't hear about this... what happened? If I remember right, when they debuted the Stromberg at the Messe (? or was it NAMM?) along with ...

Fair enough.

Been away for a few weeks, so relished the opportunity to sit down and mess with the Andy for a few hours tonight.

I know I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do. Definitely one I'll keep forever.

Re: Ian Van Dahl synths

Future Music did a bit on them a few years ago. I "think" it was in a special "Euphoric Trance" issue? Would have come out about June? They pretty much owned a ton of gear. All the VA's and a few classics. You may want to try track down somebody with a copy. Like Synthacon said, an absolute ton of ...

Is the Vintage board really that awesome?

When I got mine it had the Orchestra board in it, which I sold on ebay, but haven't managed to find a decently priced Vintage board yet.

Just wondering how much it's worth? (sonically and financially)
