Seen a Korg Karma locally for what seems a reasonable price (I guess)... so got a bit of GAS and curiosity. I've got vague recollections about playing one years ago in a second hand store for about 15 minutes or so... Obviously they've been discontinued, but I understand the technology is available ...

Thanks for the links th0mas. I went ahead and grabbed all the rare chips. Didn't take long at all. But I can see why the kits were discontinued, as I'm going to be receiving 5 boxes from all over the world just for these few parts. The rest I'll order from the regular sources Digikey, Mouser, etc. ...

I think 16 will be enough for me as long as they don't force you to put each individual drum sound on its own track or something silly like that. that depends on if you want to use a sample for every drum sound or not. they have kits available but there is no multisample option to create your own k...
