Korg Karma
Seen a Korg Karma locally for what seems a reasonable price (I guess)... so got a bit of GAS and curiosity. I've got vague recollections about playing one years ago in a second hand store for about 15 minutes or so... Obviously they've been discontinued, but I understand the technology is available ...

... and one of the guys said he has two accounds, essentially one is saving for retirement, etc...the other is for music/interests...percentages of each check goes into each...The only thing I am toying with is actually three accounts, one for day to day living/family expenses that I share with my ...

None really, any that had programs tended to just be presets.

Agree with the comment about Korg MS2000's / MicroKorg / MicroX etc being the future Juno's Slightly biased on what I've got/played/owned etc... Alesis Andromeda : Obviously. Elektron MachineDrum / MonoMachine : Great interface. Solid build. Performance instruments etc etc Hartmann Neuron : Unique, ...

Thanks for the links th0mas. I went ahead and grabbed all the rare chips. Didn't take long at all. But I can see why the kits were discontinued, as I'm going to be receiving 5 boxes from all over the world just for these few parts. The rest I'll order from the regular sources Digikey, Mouser, etc. ...

Re: Eventide - The kittens mittens?
youre very welcome. it gave a new lease on life to my XT. i was already thinking of selling it.. I think one of the things you mentioned in that thread where you posted the Andromeda & Orville samples made the comment about having decent/quality effects to run your synths through... I've currently ...

Re: Eventide - The kittens mittens?
if u dont need full out modularity, full 96k support etc, the basic sound of eclipse is very similar to higher units. i would also recommend a step-up model from Eclipse, the DSP7000. if you can find one used.. they go for arround 1.8 - 2K, but are of same series as Orville (one half of orville to ...

Eventide - The kittens mittens?
I've been having a bit of GAS looking into Eventide units of late; and am trying to do some research into them. Most of the stuff I've seen seems to be mainly around guitars; whereas I'll be mainly using it in the studio (Gear list is in the signature); may take it live if I have enough confidence L...

I think 16 will be enough for me as long as they don't force you to put each individual drum sound on its own track or something silly like that. that depends on if you want to use a sample for every drum sound or not. they have kits available but there is no multisample option to create your own k...
