i traded my micron for 6r just a while ago and was quite happy :) micromodular is perfectly respectable synth, i guess may be even the best in modular series. don't go for ion, you'll be dissapointed + it's still a lot of menue diving. if you definitely need something new and hands on, at least wai...

You can completely throw out the notion that you need DSDD disks with ANY DSDD disk drive. You may have to cover up the hole in the left-top with tape, as this is what the drive uses to sense whether the disk is DD or HD, but it should always work. You can format a disk to DD in windows, but you nee...

Carbon, are those ProLine stands? I've been thinking of picking up a 2 or 3 tier.

I think there is much less chance of disc errors that way.
DSHD diskettes are fully backwards compatible with DSDD. If anything, I'd expect the HD floppy to be more reliable since it's running under-spec.

The XT is not a V(irtual) A(nalog) and doesn't sound like one.
Wavetable locations 61-63 disagree, and the post-wavetable signal path is most definitely analog-style subtractive, even if the sound character is very digital. I'd consider it a superset.

Guitars are also devices. They operate on acoustical properties. Therefore, the best way to learn to play guitar is to study the developement of guitars from the dawn of history, and study the construction and mathematical acoustics of the guitar's sound... ..right? Terrible analogy. RobotHeroes di...

It's my favorite synth so far. Those ugly lo-fi digital oscs + Curtis filter + modulation potential had me swooning a few minutes into programming my first patch. Next time I glanced at the clock 3 hours had passed. The interface is also surprisingly nice for only having the one data slider. It's to...
