The first thing I whipped up with an ESQ-m. This is just a single patch with some external compression and reverb.

Cracked it open and checked things out. Wires looked to be attached OK. Jiggling them a bit resulted in the volume fader actually causing things to be audible, so I don't really know what's up there. Still deciding whether to return it or not - I'm afraid this thing will up and fail if I breath on i...

ESQ-m fader repair - doable by an amateur?
Just eBayed an ESQ-m and the front faders seem to have mostly busted in transport. Wiggling the volume fader seems to get it to connect every once in awhile. Data fader is in the same state. The action on the faders themselves doesn't feel broken, so I think maybe something just came loose. Think I ...

From my DSS-1 Support site, here is a demo of something along those lines. I think it may be 8 unison detuned oscillators, not 6. (Actually it's 16 with Osc2 running and detuned against Osc1!). It is also using some chorusing from the DDLs: http://glenstegner.com/dss1/demos/trident_flanged_lead.mp3...

My tunes
Been reading here for a couple months and finally decided to register, so I might as well throw my stuff up. This was all done with software in FL around 3 years ago - I've built up my cash reserves in the interim and have been ebaying some hardware the last couple months, hence all the coming here ...

You can format normal HD diskettes as DD. In a Windows command prompt: format a: /F:720 Don't know if that would be readable for the DSS-1 drive, but I would think so (worked in the 80s for my Tandy 1000, I think). I'd love to know if this works, as I'm looking at picking one of these beasts up. PS:...
