With Onyx you can shoot 18 channels into the PC, but only get 2 back out.

Arp just had some freaky-good people working there. I'm currently infatuated with the Chroma, and I'd already have a Chroma Polaris already if they didn't spontaneously explode. None of those really sound very much like the others, but they all are compelling.

I'm with Entropy Farmer...I run my Ody dry no LPF and love the sound. Of course a bit of filter only sweetens it up, like icing on a cake. Can't say the same thing for my Prodigy or MS20. Those sound best with a bit of filtering. Another weird thing about them is that I find myself using the square...

There's something magic in the oscs. I love running my mk 1 Oddy with the LP open (might be because my resonance fader is broken, of course).

I can't find the one atrocity I made (probably deleted it), so here's the first thing I wrote from several years ago.

Edit: Come to think of it, a lot of people didn't like this one. I was intentionally getting dissonant which didn't go over all that well. I dig it, though.

Holy s**t. Ok, Doust is getting a perm space in the iTunes. Goddamn brilliant.

FX chain info? And how much of that was running in unison? Basically I did not know a SixTrak was capable of anything anywhere near all that.

I agree re: that being bull. SQ-80 is an ESQ-1 + a disk drive, additional osc waveforms, and a poly aftertouch keyboard. Same thing, just better.

Yeah, probably cracked. Maybe I should replace ALL of the faders... They nasty, and soldering is more fun than scrubbing things out. Then I can rebuild the power supply, and add MIDI, and add a spoiler and some spinning rims...

Arp Odyssey busted resonance fader

So I got my package of deoxit in and neither the D100 nor the F100 helped anything. I have about a quarter inch of play at the bottom of the fader before it goes into self osc. This would be a fader problem and not a filter problem, right? Should I replace the fader?

Hmmm... and people wonder why I will *not* use f**k UPS to ship keyboards?? It's not so much UPS, than it is the person who packs it for shipping. You can't rely on peanuts and bubble packs alone. If I were to ship synths, this is how I'd do it: http://www.sealedair.com/products/protective/instapak...

I payed 360 shipped, would gladly do it again.
I paid slightly higher than that (it came with a case, though), and would gladly so it again.

I must admit the thing that pisses me off most about MIDI is the amount of cables you bloody well need. It's bad enough having umpteen audio cables plugged into your mixer going everywhere, but when you potentially double that (or triple it if you wire the INs and OUTs!) then you can imagine things...
