Ok thanks, but I've never heard of BNC inputs before. Can they adapt to 1/4 inch cables or RCA?

Oscilloscope?

Hey does anybody know about oscilloscopes? I'd like to get one so I can analyze the different waveforms from my synths. Can anyone recommend a brand and model of oscilloscope for sound design with audio inputs.

I always thought that Moogs came out before the Fairlights but apparently I have to do more research. ...but my question remains, why do we see fewer and fewer new "real" analog synths on the market? the Moogs (modular, Mini) did come before the Fairlights. he just meant that those other additive i...

I have a QS 6.1 and an N5-EX. Very similar boards, though the N5 has an arp that I find totally useless. Of my romplers I choose the QS. I have an Ion and I had a Microkorg. Sold the Microkorg because the arp was fussier about my mediocre playing ability and the interface wasn't as easy to use as th...

Wow AG, you really like your 2600. I wish I could play with one, but for now I have to settle with the Arturia virtual 2600. Too bad the real Arp 2600 is monophonic.

... but analog gave birth to VA, digital, hybrid, FM, additive, and all the other fancy new forms of synthesis. Didn't these newer forms come to be because of the first analog synthesizers? Umm, that's bending the truth ALOT! Firstly additive came before analog(subtractive). Additive was the first ...

Doctor Who theme

I saw nice video on youtube about the making of this brilliant work. I'm trying to figure out how to play it, but the video only shows short clips of the musician playing the parts of the song. I know he uses an Arp Odyssey and a Yamaha CS-80. I don't really care about duplicating the sounds, it wou...

One thing I don't understand... I'm sure that Yamaha is well aware of the popularity of the CS-80. Moog understood this and re-released the Minimoog as the Voyager. Dave Smith just re-released the Prophet 5 as the Prophet '08. Why doesn't Yamaha make a new version of the CS-80? Why doesn't Waldorf m...

Even if the CS-80V doesn't sound like the original, it still sounds awesome.

Believe me, I want one bad. Don't know if I'll ever find one and have the cash at the same time though. I don't yet own any vintage gear, but if I did I'd have a CS-60. 4 voices is a bit slim for my needs and I barely get by with 8.

Yamaha CS-80

I was playing around with Arturia CS-80V and those pads sound like the voices of angels. I was wondering, since it would be nearly impossible to find a real CS-80(and definitely unaffordable) does the CS-60 have nearly the same presets? Or near the capability to duplicate those CS-80 sounds? I fell ...

You gotta try KlangFormer... I creamed my shorts when I heard what it could do and that was just a few of the presets.
