Aquavit compilation: Pokelok, Tröber, Siesta Submarina++

Hi good folks of VSE, I am guilty of not being around here much anymore, but I thought some of you might enjoy this release on Aquavit BEAT (former Aquavit Records). This compilation "BlåRød 2" contains various deep and exploring house/technoid tracks from a selection of artists on the Aquavit label...

Re: Korg Monotron vs Gakken SX-150

everyone is raving about the monotron. I have the Gakken and while fun for the first 5 minutes, it ultimately jsut sits there and has not been used for two years. save up a little more and get a Monotribe instead ;)

Re: I enjoy the challenge of simplicity.....

I never get more music done than when I just take out my Machinedrum UW and focus on that for a while :) less is more, just make sure the gear you do have is of high quality

Re: vintage synth appearance in movies/pictures/

well, being two musicians/comedians I was not suprised, but I laughed pretty good at the lyrics: noone cares, noone sympathizes ju just stay home and play synthesizers. MS 2000 and Minimoog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWk2yen1H0w and yeah, I've also made a habit out of looking for cool gear when...

Re: Elektron Octatrack!

so most of the demos i've heard are very reminiscent of monolake. i'm a monolake fan but i do not want to sound like monolake. has anyone come across demos that sound way different? i'm looking for examples of twisted jazz, ambient, screwed up analog broken beat acid or klezmer for example. i'd lik...

Re: Elektrobahn...gear p**n

pretty epic stand/setup.. I think I'd switch the oldschool analogs for newschool analogs though but that does look like heaps of fun! Pain to setup/pulldown though! I guess that's the whole point, it's all pre-wired, just connect to a power source and to the PA and go? I know that's been a dream fo...

TrondC - Live @Grooveyard 2011 (last 15 mins, new music!)

Played during prime time (2am) at a little "dance-music" festival (600 people in a building meant for max 500..), which was immense fun. the drawback was that main room was directly underneath, with a behemoth sound system, a locally famous DJ and volume cranked to the max... as such my set almost d...

Re: Machinedrum Output Routing Question

yeah thats bugging me too, but another workaround is to route as much as possible to the alternative outputs, then route the tracks that you want the effects on to out A/B.. not at all ideal, but in a pinch it does the trick
