Monomen Live at Øya-festival (Norway) 2007 review

So, finally i got to witness this newest norwegian coolness that is called Monomen. As you may or may not know, Premieklovn on this very forum is the singer/guitarist/synth-man in this band, and he does a very good job :) the music is new-wave-ish, very proffessional and very nicely arranged. I coul...

ESX+EA+ER is making me some nice D'n'B/Acid stuff. Add a mixer and my microkorg and I should be good to go :)

Ok, so this is what I'm thinking: I'll need a mixer at some point anyway, so for now I'll just get the mixer (thus allowing me to, well, mix my songs better and add more than 4 tracks to them :) and then save up and wait until I find a decent cheap computer. Atleast, Ill be able to add more than 4 t...

yeah, we thought about that too, but the probelm is that my PC uses an old kind of RAM, and there is only one available spot for a new ram-card (or whatever they are called), so I was advided to get a new computer instead to avoid future upgrades and costy repais and stuff... I could install 1GB RAM...

yeah I am from Norway :) I was at my local musicstore yesterday and spent an hour or so consulting the salesguy, who was very helpful indeed. We figured I could stick to an interface with onøy 2 inputs, and record each electribe individually and then click and drag the tracks in Live so it plays bac...

yeah i made tons of songs using my microkorg and an organ I got for free :) then I got an ER, and now I have ESX, EA, ER, Microkorg and Roland FP-2. All I really need now is an interface and ableton live, and I won't be needing anything more for atleast a year or so. (and then it's probably gonna be...

I'd like to use Live, but I'd like not to use a mixer as it takes up extra space, I'd have to have extra cables etc, and I will end up paying lots of money.. I guess I'll still be able to mix using a mouse and virtual sliders... Also, the idea of just downloading Live sounds good, and would that act...

So as i'd like to include my current hardware-setup to my soft-setup, I think I'll stay away from reason now. Live sounds like just what I need.. As for the electribes there just may be something I'm not getting: when I record my electribes, the ESX works as master clock, and the ER/EA are slaved, s...

wow! that's the helpful VSe I remember :) so, some vote hardware recorder, others come up with lots of interresting computer-based stuff.. I realize that having a mixer before hitting the computer may not be very important, so if I can save some space and cash, I'll rather adjust levels/eq etc on th...

So, as none of you probably remember, there was someone who was called ManMachine on this board some time ago, may known to some for going on about how much he loved his electribes forever. However, as sudenly my username and password did not match, and VSE claimed that my email-adress did not match...
