Re: Are you glad synths aren't more popular?

Haha, when someone asks me if I play an instrument, I say I play the keyboard, I find it to be a nice middle ground between synth/piano haha..

Are you glad synths aren't more popular?

Are you glad that synths aren't that popular? Part of me wishes they were, just so there will be a more competitive market, therefor hopefully creating better synths. But, then I like the fact that synths are behind the scene, compared to guitars, bass, and drums and what not. They are kind of a hid...

Novation A Station vs Waldorf Blofeld

Do you guys think the extra +200ish dollar premium is worth it for the Blofeld? I could get a Novation A Station for $200 or a Waldorf Blofeld for 400ish what do you guys think?

Alesis Micron won't turn on anymore

So, the other night I ran into my micron and it felt maybe just a foot off the ground, and it landed on the corner of the synth. I checked immediately to see if it still work and it did, but I noticed the 9v jack area, was off center (kind of jammed upwards). Also, the cable had this awkward bend to...

Interior foam in case crumbling

So the used case that came with the Roland alpha juno 2 I bought has foam that is crumbling. It's really mushy and gross. What would be the best way to clean out all the foam, and replace it? Any good sites that sell 61 key case foam? Thanks.

Re: My first analog synth

Thanks, for all the replies guys and I enjoyed reading about your experience Electroluver. Yesterday, I got my midi cable and started playing around with all the sliders, and it is so much fun. Made some really dirty organ sounds, neat brass type pads, and other neat pad effects. I'm pretty impresse...

My first analog synth

Just got my first analog synth yesterday, had to choose between the Roland Juno 106 and the Roland Juno Alpha 2. I liked both, but sound wise I gave a slight nod to the Juno Alpha 2, although I barely got deep into either synth. But I liked having all the sliders on the 106. But I also liked the com...

Re: I just bought a NL2x. I'm sooooo disappointed...

Yes, the ESQ1 is a fantastic synth. For me it's like a previous version of Alesis Ion. I mean, Alesis Ion is like a 21st century reborn ESQ1. When editing the ESQ1, I feel I'm swiftly swimming like a slimy snake [alliteration] through various interconnected canals and pipes, and each time, there's ...

Re: 1st Synth - Is £300 good for an Alesis ION?

Thought I'd copy / paste what I wrote in another forum: *************** Hmn. Well the thing is I'm not really 100% sure exactly what features I'm looking for or what features hold more weighting than the others! The Microsynth has got a lot of great reviews but then so have all the synths I've ment...
