i haven´t used the jx-3p, but i own the jx-8p (the 3p´s bigger brother) and i used to own a juno 106. first of, the juno 106 is a great synth. simple but great and powerful sounding, but as you mention only one dco. both jx-xp´s have two and this makes it possible to make a wider selection of sounds...
