Re: musikmesse 2010 Frankfurt

I'm reading that it uses the hybrid technology from the spectralis. Half analogue half dsp. Yeah dude you've lost your mind. On the site it states digital filters and isn't the filterbank on the spectralis the analog part? There isn't a single instance of the word analog on the PDF neither. You cro...

Re: musikmesse 2010 Frankfurt

6000 ROM samples, 128 snapshots, whoaaaa :o Hmmm what is the +drive upgrade gonna cost though i wonder? Time to get an email off to those folks at Elektron for that info. all this after having just bought a MD UW mkii! (though maybe I'd be eligible for the discount?) I just upgraded to a MKII UW as...

Re: Best way to touch-up Vinyl recordings in Audacity?

Have you considered putting the CD into the computer and copying the digital information directly to the computer in faster-than-real-time?    Re-recording a mastered CD into a computers built in sound card to then manually separating each track and then EQ'ing and normalizing....

Re: Elektron MachineDrum

I have to think, like Trond says, the complaints have something to do with headroom and the way peeps are mixing within the MD. And having the instant gratification of old school drum machines in mind. If someone didn't spend the time I am sure they would be pissing themselves off with kicks and sn...

Re: Elektron MachineDrum

I recently have been given the opportunity to purchase some classic Rolansd gear Unless they were below market value and in great shape I dunno. It isn't much of an investment if you are paying close to 2K for an 808/909 unless you are all about sounding like said drum machines. It offers the poten...

Re: how to make a Mini sound bad

Gearwire As soon as I read that it all made sense. The only people that might give them praise are youtube bacteria. They are probably community college broadcasting majors that wanted to make a show. They could just do unboxing videos where they read the box, specs and tell you what the piece of g...

Re: Elektron MachineDrum

It's actually been up and down with Elektron for me. 3 years ago when I first got the original UW I went nuts. I thought it was very rockin' but then I couldn't get into it. Took a break from it and kind of had a hate thing for it because I hadn't found the right sounds. Then I got back on it and le...

Re: Elektron MachineDrum

People that buy Machinedrums do so because they want a Machinedrum not because they want a classic analog. The interface is well thought out and not hard to navigate. You can probably figure out how to get around in an hour or two but you will need to read the manual to get the most out of it. I am ...

That is probably everyone.

Unpack it then make a tubular bells or donk patch followed by playing the riff from "The final countdown" for an hour with tubular bells.

A Google search would alleviate that uncertainty with blogs and sites that do just this and some that probably have been doing it for years.
