Re: 8bit osc+Analog filter synth

not sure why you want "emulating" since you mentioned you have a shruthi, which is hardware ?...can you expand on the emulating part :? ... for the price of that shruthi, you could buy a Commodore 64 with Mssiah, or an NES with midiNES...or you could just buy a gameboy with a flashed cartridge and p...

Re: Micromoog appreciation thread

You'll need Cinch-Jones to 1/8 cables and a Kenton pro-solo. Then you play with the scale on your pro-solo to compensate the 0.91v/octave.
With the pro solo you get an lfo that can modulate the pitch AND the filter. That leaves the Micromoog lfo free to control the waveshape.
thank you! :)

Re: Micromoog appreciation thread

I LOVE the sound of the Micromoog! ...I have entertained the idea of selling my Rogue to buy a Micro on multiple occasions...idk if I will actually do that or just keep the Rogue and buy one anyways... Question: how well does the Micro work with a MIDI to CV converter? I have a master MIDI keyboard ...

ESQ-1 "system error soft reset failed press any key to...

has anyone seen this message on their ESQ-1 before: "system error soft reset failed press any key to continue" ? ...this happens every once in a while usually just after powering up, but have noticed it popping up out of the blue...doesn't affect anything in that you can just push a button or key an...

Solved, for now ;) Octatrack: how to quantize MIDI notes

my setup: I have a master MIDI keyboard running into my Octatrack which is controlling 5 hardware synths. I am trying to quantize the notes I record into the MIDI sequencer, but I cannot find an easy way to do this...The "quantize live recording" check box does not seem to work properly for what I a...

Basically I think the OT is an amazing machine and it sounds perfect for what you want to do. thank you Stab Frenzy! ...I was secretly hoping you would be one of the peeps to reply, because I had noticed you've been using the Octatrack for a bit from some of the forum searches I did on this machine...

Elektron Octatrack as master MIDIclock/sequencer/workstation

I recently realized that my ASR-10 isn't cutting it as a master sequencer/MIDI clock (lagging, crashing system, etc) so I've been looking at alternatives...The 1st thing that I thought of as a better replacement was an MPC 3000 or 60, as I know their MIDI clock is super tight (as tight as you can ge...
