these are the samples as they are stored on the disk, but without any indication of the original sample rate or pitch (because we only have the PCM data, not the "metadata", so to speak, that is in the rest of the VC file). they weren't sampled 'from' a Fairlight, they are the original samples on floppy. ...let me clarify...how do you know what note the "original samples" are so that you can scale it correctly on a keyboard? ...without being able to recognize the note by ear or use a device. anyways, yeah, you are right...one thing that may help you is that my tech said those diodes (the ones that the service manual recommends removing prior to battery change) were removed already... I have a later serial # btw

I just opted to swap out the battery...In addition, I had the tech mount it off of the board in case it ever leaks ;)

Just got an ESQ today and upgraded it with this cod v3.53 OS. It works beautifully for me as well, although has anyone else experienced the increment/decrement buttons both incrementing oscillators' wave parameter?
