I hope they sound good. Like really good...
If by that, you mean that's why they left off the mod and pitch wheels.

Did they make the keys even smaller?

Re: That point in which sequencing MIDI just seems like a ch

Two things: How about trying to make music without any MIDI sequencing for a while. Try playing and overdubbing. (I pretty much abandoned MIDI sequencing 20 years ago. I didn't like how I was always tempted to quantize and take the life & expression out of everything). Secondly, for me, it has alway...

Phy-mod for the high level of realtime control.
Analog subtractive for ease of programming.
Sample playback for emulative realism, but only when multi-dimensional with heavy scripting.

Re: CS-50 60 owners

FWIW, I bought my CS-50 for $2500.00 last year. A lot, but it was in great condition and I wanted it badly.
That said, the tech I use is $90. an hour. Repairs can bring the price up quickly.

Re: Greetings From Yamaha USA Pro Music Customer Support

For me, the possibility of a line of communication with one of the major synth manufacturers is worth excusing some errors of decorum. If it was a post from a potato chip company, I would see that as spam. But, by all means, make up stories about the man's intentions & reasons for posting. That will...

Re: CS-50 60 owners

In comparison to my other polys, the CS-50 has a more saturated tone that gives it weight in the way distortion does a guitar. As Kevin has pointed out, the real magic is in the performance using the aftertouch and the modulation sliders on the lower row. With the resonance up on the high pass filte...

Re: CS-50 60 owners

Yes, you could! :D I've only had a 50. Man, what a beautiful set of sounds it produced. One of the most hands on synths I've ever played and maybe the biggest regret I've had, letting it go. Thankfully it went to home nearby, and I'm sure I could coerce the owner to let me play it every once and a w...
