Re: Why the V-Synth is the best thing Roland ever did

I find both the TTpad and the D-Beams to be fantastic, top notch controllers. My love for the V-Synth will never die.

Re: Synth+Sampler+Seq:What Workstation?

If you don't like the RS7000 sampler you will probably not care for that of the Motif ES either. that's really a good advice, thanks. I'll check the motif manual better. As far as I remember, the ES sampler was quite a bit more sophisticated than that in the RS7000. One thing that bugged me, though...

Re: Synth+Sampler+Seq:What Workstation?

Another thing to note about the Yamaha Motif ES, if you go that route, is that you can install the plg card from your an200 into it, if you so wish

Re: Roland Aira System 1--SonicState review vid

My early complaint seems to be around NOT being able to hold several plugs at once. I'd like to see a way of switching, on the unit, that facilitates or better yet hints at switching engines often as there will be many to choose from during the course of studio production. +1. Also, the 8 patch lim...

Re: Yamaha SU700 questions

That sounds absolutely awesome, d2a! Thanks for posting. I had to let my su700 rest until I get the time needed to fix it. Unfortunately I don't have any soldering experience, but I can probably get help from some friends. What you say about hacking/modding the unit for enhanced functionality sounds...

Re: Why do you use the Synthesizer you use most?

The Roland V-Synth, because I always come up with fantastic sounds in it, sounds I couldn't achieve on my other synths.

Re: Yamaha su700 repair

A certified Yamaha repair guy would probably fix all that, but do you want to fix it yourself? I have some problems with my own unit, but have been given advice as to what cleaning spray to use etc. I'll try to dig up the info if you need it

Re: New Elektron Machine

Regarding the realtime start and end point manipulation of samples, I wonder if it's possible to make it snap to transient peaks? That would be great for realtime breakbeat manipulation If it's like the Octatrack you can slice the samples and switch between them easily, come to think of it the OT s...
