Re: New Elektron Machine

Regarding the realtime start and end point manipulation of samples, I wonder if it's possible to make it snap to transient peaks? That would be great for realtime breakbeat manipulation

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey

In any case, I strongly doubt this synth will be very expensive for the simple reason it won't sell. I'm a little more than the MS-20, but not much

Re: Why the V-Synth is the best thing Roland ever did

So, I think I missed something... Why are v-synths no longer available? Is Roland prepping for the release of a new version? It's certainly a tragedy - nothing less - if Roland stop developing this technology. If not in a dedicated keyboard, I hope they include Variphrase in their next work...

Re: Midi synth with arpeggiators? (computerless)

The Akai MPK arpeggiator is programmmable in the sense of presets. You are limited to the usual U/D/Rev/Rand pattern set but can program gate time, octave range, transpose, tempo, time division, swing and store that (plus other stuff) as a preset. The arpreggiator can internally or externally synch...

Re: if i had one synth question

Well, I think you'd be wise to check out the Roland FA-06, then. better than a v-synth ? Nothing beats the V-Synth ;-) Well, actually, for your purposes, an FA-06 would be better. The V-Synth isn't a rompler, and limited polyphony will make for a limited multitimbral setup (be ware that multitimbra...

Re: if i had one synth question

What kind of sounds are you after? Is money an issue? If you need a really broad pallette, maybe a Roland FA-06, great price, too. Or an Access Virus TI2

Yeah, I really HATE that rising stutter effect. What kind of conformist moron would use that in a set? A whole bunch, sadly

Yeah, but Korg, Roland and Yamaha aren't english or american either, still they give their synths english names. And Access are german, Propellerheads swedish and so on and so forth.

Nah, I love it. If they give synths english names, why not german?

Re: SOFTWARE REVOLUTION

Sometimes software truly sucks, and especially so when it doesn't work anymore. My dx200 needs the editor for full access to all its parameters, but compability was broken with Windows 7. This has taught me a lesson not to buy hardware that depends ona computer. Which is why I'm hesitant to buy Masc...

Thanks for the link, I might check those out. I was having some uploading problems when using DXManager, so I don't kow yet if I'll get much use of it.
