Re: I got myself a blue present!

I have a CS1x and love it, its quick and nasty.

I also have the an1x and rm1x, and a stylophone that sits very nicely on that ledge :)

Re: AKAI MPD24 firmware FAIL !!

Well no reply yet from akai about a firmware download I did manage to finish updating the sysex with the bome software, using the midi in out ports rather than the usb, and the mpd24 does work in reaper and reason recognises it. Looks like I'll just have to make do, unless akai come up with something.

Re: AKAI MPD24 firmware FAIL !!

Good call at least I can see progress on bomes gui.

Still getting a "no firmware" message though and the lcd is still blocked out.

Im starting to wonder if my firmware upgrade is bad.

AKAI MPD24 firmware FAIL !!

Downloaded the latest mpd24 editor yesterday, its called Viyzor or something. Quite happily using it for renaming patches, nothing too hard, hit the wrong button and now have an unuseable mpd24. All I have is an lcd panel with all the characters illuminated. I have worked out it needs a firmware ref...

Re: La Roux's "Bulletproof" (What synths?)

I'd be more interested in what vocal processing they used to make the singers voice sound like fingernails been dragged down a blackboard.

Is there a special plugin with two settings - "screech" and "pissed off cat" ?

Ever have that Homer Simpson "doh" minute

Im sure somewhere on this board is a thread entitled "Thing your synth can do but you've only just found out 'cos you dont read manuals", its out there somewhere but I can find it, but anyway. I've only just found out after two years or so that my RM1x can record tracks on the fly, ie when other tra...

Re: Kaossilator Pro

Ok maybe "replace" was the wrong word.

How about, "I'm thinking of updating my gear and wonder if the kaossilator pro would be worth looking at. I have an rm1x that I don't really use that often"
