A friend of mine has the PSS-570 with the coustom drummer and he likes it for that a lot. They are really fun to play with for sure, some of the most fun I've ever had with any instrument, and I pick them up whenever I see them in thrift stores. I have a pss-160 and a 170. The 160 is low on sounds b...

Hey there, thanks for the reply. I don't think the memory is full because I've seen the screen that says it's at 0% used up.. or something like that. I can edit patterns and save them to slots but when I turn it off and then back on again, the patterns are not there. I'm pretty sure it's the battery...

Casio RZ-1

I recently got an RZ-1 and it was super easy to figure out how to program and everything exept that it doesn't seem to hold the patterns I program into it. Is there a "save" function I'm missing out on or is the internal battery just dead?

Re: Firewire interface with independent mixing

I've been looking for a firewire interface, and there are many threads about this already with a lot of info. However, I like to work with my computer off a lot of the time, and was wondering whether there is such an interface with mixing capabilities (does the Firepod have that? Doesn't seem so bu...

I have a tr-626 with the trigger out. What are you asking for? Record the 5v pulse from the trigger out? Is that possible?

Dare I say an MS2000? It was my first and I think a pretty good one to learn on since most everything is laid out for you. Plus they are generally inexpensive and easily obtainable.

Oops.. just realized you wanted all analog

I first aquired it through another friend back in high school. I took the back panel off it last night and triggered some of the sounds. The thing sounds really cool and most of the sounds can be tuned and tweeked. The unit is a little noisy but it still sounds pretty cool. I just don't have the ele...

Pearl Fightman drum module??

So a friend of mine gave me back this thing that I gave him like ten years ago before I was into anything synth/cool/musical and am wondering how to trigger the sounds from it. I'm assuming it's analog and it looks tweekable and useful but I don't know much about working with electronics. Anyone hav...

there's a guy I know from another board I frequent who uses a 6 voice omega for the majority of his compositions. his blog is here: www.drdrt.com and I'd say it's a pretty good example of how powerful this synth can be. be sure to check out "Bass Momma" and "Putch Ya Handz Up" under previous entries...
