Re: Finaly a new poliphonic Moog or not?!
"Paraphonic" is a term that has to do with articulation... not a term that has to do with how many notes a synth can generate. A "paraphonic" synthesizer is one where all of the notes generated... from 1 to 1,000,000... go through a single filter and VCA combination. That's it. That is what "paraph...

Re: vintage help
I do not think we will see any type of crash in prices anytime soon. Synthesizers were never overvalued like in some markets, (guitars, muscle-cars, housing) but the opposite where synthesizers were seriously undervalued for years. Synthesizers were very expensive in the 70's. Somehow these musical ...

Re: just snagged a Creamware MINIMAX.... Red/Blue switches?
I applied two coats with a drying time between applications. Goes on thick like an enamel and I let them dry a few days before I tested them for durability. Looking at them under a magnifier, the blue is much glossier, with the orange more a satin finish. And due to the odd curved shape, there is a ...

Re: just snagged a Creamware MINIMAX.... Red/Blue switches?
Those painted caps came out smooth, looking like they were originally colored that way. Like any paint, it takes on the surface underneath. I did sand the tops with fine 600/800 grit paper. And the colors I used had a glossy finish. There were a few different angles to paint, so having them mounted ...

Re: just snagged a Creamware MINIMAX.... Red/Blue switches?
That Krylon Fusion paint works well. I tried it with some Moog Prodigy caps. Those were a bit easier to paint, as I had a full set of non-original caps to test it on. Plus those caps are removable. Went with the blue/orange switch scheme of the Minimoog. Still looks good years later, never wore off....

CS-80 funky?

Those green Funky presets were pretty good though. Lots of expression with the poly aftertouch.

Re: I Dream of Wires
Ordered the IDOW last week and it showed up today.
That was quick!

Just watched the first part. Enough Moog and Buchla to make anyone happy.
I enjoyed watching it, almost two hours. Part two some time soon.

Re: This guy cut his Nord Lead 1 in half
Glad to see I'm not the only one to saw a keyboard in half because it was too big. I modified an old Cheetah 5 octave down to 2 1/2 octaves for controlling a MAQ 16/3 sequencer. Did it over 10 years ago, back when a short keyboard MIDI controller was almost impossible to find. http://mysite.verizon....

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued
Yes. This. I guess you don't realize that we are saying the same thing. (Also... I mean, seriously... you must know that I know these things. It's my job. I've read Bob's own notes regarding these orders. I'm pretty sure I can find Eric Siday's phone number written in Bob's handwriting.) I just don...

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued
There is a guy in the UK selling various Moog percussion modules on eBay..... Those Moog 700 series drum modules sure look interesting. Especially the 702 with the "repition" dial. Guess that was for a drum roll kind of sound. I did find a few MP3's of the Moog 700 from Eric Siday. Sounds like Eric...

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued
Moog never produced a drum machine and is not known for doing so. In fact, except for the recent postings on the Moog Forum in regard to the 700 series, most people had never heard it. Looks like a drum machine to me? Here is one of the Bob Moog designed modules in the 700 system built for Eric Sid...

Re: Moog Little Phatty Discontinued
Moog has never made a drum machine. Perhaps not one that would sit on a table top. But the R.A.Moog Co. made one of the original automated synthesizer percussion units way back in 1969, the 700 series. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6s1hi/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/700system.jpg From what...

Re: 10th Anniversary Minimoog Voyager Gift
So how long do the Taurus 3 owners have to wait for theirs? 10th anniversary of the T3 release I guess? Putting the brass knob on a T3 isn't a bad idea really. The single knob and color kind of fits the T3 look. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6s1hi/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/t3brassknob.j...

Re: 10th Anniversary Minimoog Voyager Gift
And a few months later, Moog has sent out this rare limited edition brass cutoff controller. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6s1hi/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/mkbw.jpg It's for a "D" type potentiometer shaft, so it won't fit most of my vintage Moogs. It will fit a Prodigy. http://mysite.veri...
