Re: New DSI Mopho 4 Voice Synth Announced

I love how DSI learned to not say much until a product is ready to go out the door. Saves 40 pages of blahblah on forums everywhere.

The synth that keeps on giving

I just have to express to the world my appreciation of Access and their non stop, badass, updates for the VirusTI. The amount of love they put into this machine is unparalleled. This latest addition of 2 aux envelopes, and a pile of new filter love is outta control good! These new filter tools are u...

Re: Tired of Diving Presets, need help

Bass station keyboard. (Especially if your first option is a broken keyboard) Little analog classic. Knob per function... You'll have a ball. edit: ohoh... but wait. I forgot the ax73 is a poly with full keys... hmmm.... yeah I can see why you'd want that... thats probably a good choice... Yeah, go ...

Re: Which Kaoss Pad should I get?

Years ago I got the KP2 and yknow, out of the 100 preset effects, there were several that I actually liked. I used it once and awhile, then sold it... Recently I got a kp3 for the sampling capabilities (out of necessity) and again, there are few effects that I like and use... I dont really need the ...

Re: Yamaha RS7000 vs. MPC 60

Hmm... Command station wise - It can be a pain using it as a standalone machine (which I never did) - I use it exclusively to drive my virus and find it superfast to get stuff done... Jumping in and out of any record modes, overdubbing, erasing tracks, muting, cc automation etc... all without pressi...

Re: Yamaha RS7000 vs. MPC 60

6 words. Command Station Command Station Command Station. If you don't need the sampling, and just straight up sequencing, this is easily one of the best out there.... While a powerful rompler as well, its menu diving is crazy, but as just a sequencer for external gear, this things is solid and you ...

Re: Make high quality digi synth sound Exactly analogue

OK... Vox. The problem I'm seeing here, from your questions and such, is that you've obviously read alot about synths and such on forums or whatever, and are asking questions without really understanding what you're asking - I mean, you sort of do, but your grasp on the basics of what is going on wi...

Re: DSI Evolver Filter: cutoff, brightness and LPF plus h**l

Yes, there is a difference. Using CC#74 you can only open the filter further. When CC#74 is at 0 it has no effect but as you increase it, it raises the cutoff frequency from the current value. Hmm.. I didnt know that.. Interesting. I'm gonna play with that, cause that would change how I decide to s...

Re: DSI Evolver Filter: cutoff, brightness and LPF plus h**l

Cutoff and brightness are the same. CC52 does indeed control the cutoff for the evolver - strangely chosen by DSI in their propriatary list of what you get to control using CC's CC74 is the universal number for cutoff and also works. If you wanna noodle with the filter, I find its best to set it to ...

Re: Tired of Diving Presets, need help

Do you have your head around the basic principles of subtractive synthesis? You didnt mention if you know or don't generally understand envelopes or LFOs etc...

I just wonder, cause its a must have, especially when using menu driven synths...

Re: TI OS5 speculation thread

Ahh the VirusTI... the synth that just keeps on giving... I almost never use VControl. I guess we'll just wait and see how the new envelopes are accessed. I'm a little sad that the new filter modes will be tucked into the freq shift/combfilter section. Mainly due to the fact that you'll have to make...
