Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

Weird... I wonder what the differences are...
Because really, like I said above - my buddy with with the BCR - it was working *really* well... like live tweaking good.
No lag at all.

Your most reliable vintage synth? ;)

My only real piece of vintage - a Korg 770

Never been serviced, I dont think it really ever goes out of tune, and it plays great.

Any other death-defying pieces of vintage out there?

Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

So my friend with an m1000 finally got around to getting his bcr setup to control his synth. I believe he sent the output of a computer editor to the bcr and used the learn function... Anyway, it works great... I was actually surprised how responsive the m1000 is. He only had a few parameters there ...

Re: any ideas for feedback loops?

2 cell phones on speaker mode, close to eachother makes some pretty annoying feedback...

Re: I enjoy the challenge of simplicity.....

I consolidated my ESX, evolver, and commandstation duties into a Spectralis2.

While there's not much simplicity in that, I'm happy to have the desk space... :D

Re: Analog synth/sequencer

Have a look at the Cirklon - badass sequencer. No sounds in the machine itself, but it could play your Moog, xoxbox, darkenergy, (all together) and whatever else you could hook up to it... Pretty future friendly too I'd say... (expensive... )

Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

I've heard others say the m1000 has laggy response to external control.. not sure why technically...
My friend has one - I should see if I could borrow it... (or buy it :p)

Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

Yeah, so I tried to max out the Matrix just now... assigned everything I could to the modwheel and s**t like that, and just wailed on it. Filter, res, FM, egtimes, lfo rates, pitch (sync on) etc... Behaves like it should. Pretty cool actually. Excuse the dopey sequence... :p http://soundcloud.com/aq...

Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

The bcr is a little trickier to program the sysex, but can be done... I doubt the oxygen does sysex... I don't think *any* maudio product does.... Anyway... later tonight when I get home... I'm gonna max the mod matrix and assign everything I can to the mod wheel and see what happens. Never done tha...

Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

Yeah of course! That vid has inspired several drehbank aqusitions... they're a bit rare.. and mildly expensive. But... they are suuuuuper handy... they do ALL things midi related me thinks. I used it for all kinds o stuff before... nowadays its pretty much hardwired to the matrix. Ps.. you can also ...
