Re: Minimal electro

Thanks Syn303, I hear you... it's now in some kind of inbetweenland, not really minimal, but then not really fully realized either. Well, next time... :D I really dug the very early 90s techno, missed the 80s scene. Totally agree, It's lacking something maybe some changes? A little too repetitive.

Re: New Electro Tunes Up!

This is cool, you've def found a genre to match Virus TI! Works. You're a pro so maybe couple of notes are not unwelcome: how about making this even more tight & nasty. I'm talking about timing&groove (tight, sparse) and some sound decisions (more nasty would not hurt). Also, I'm hearing this track...

Re: New Electro Tunes Up!

this is nice!!! btw i had some of your tunes from somewhere, dont remember where, only 1 i remember the name of is funk nest well I would say it is right up the electro funk alley, although George Clinton used synths much more sparingly then this and didn't really have repetitiveness in synthesizer...

New Electro Tunes Up!

Hey guys, been working like a mad man on my new sound Electro Funk would best describe it. http://www.reverbnation.com/djpuzzle Gear used Virus TI, Supernova, Juno 106, JP8000, Cwejman S1 MK2, Waldorf Micro Q, Nord Lead 2, Yamaha DX200, and some VSTis on my Apple. Thanks in advance if you check them...

Thanks for the reply. It's working sporadically. The pitch bend works but buggy.

Knob Caps

Hi there,

Looking for a good place to get replacement knob caps. It's the half round with a flat shaped whole.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yep, as suggested above, you need to set your synth's arpeggiator to receive MIDI clock, and you also need to make sure your sequencer (or whatever you use as a main clock source) is set to transmit MIDI clock. Not all devices will automatically send clock as default, you might have to tell it to d...

You can´t assume that a set tempo is what itactually reads on the screen of the synth. 120BPM for instance isn´t always 120BPM exactly, it can be 120,3BPM. You must send Midi Clock from your recording device/program into the Microwave so that the arpeggiator will be slaved to the tempo of the maste...

Different machines using their internal clocks are notoriously sloppy with regards to each other's timing. I don't think I've ever had two units run the same speed when set to the same nominal BPM. Properly synchronising things is the only way to get accurate timing. How would I go about syncing th...

so what synth is this? i would suggest using midi and setting your computer to send timing to your synth (in slave timing mode ), and re-record the arp with your computer's timing. sometimes hardware arp's get confused and get out of time, this method should put them back on track. It's a Micro Q. ...

Which one (synth)? How are you triggering it (MIDI clock, trig in)? What kind of trigger (S-trig, V-trig)? If MIDI, how much data is on the clock bus? All of this information is essential for any kind of answer to your question. I have never experienced a sync issue (or heard of one) that was not t...
