Re: single case / power for modular stuff?
FWIW, the Doepfer Beauty Case has 32hp since 2008 (the picture shows the old 28hp version).

Re: Monthly Patching Workout 2015-2017
I was trying to figure out parts of the functionality of the Cwejman RG6 and “accidentally” came up with this little patch. It’s based on three cross-FMed sines that are “sequenced” from the three S/H outputs of the RG6. http://i66.tinypic.com/5zpt8p.jpg https://soundcloud.com/contracommunemopinione...

Re: Cheap way to set up a room of people with synths
When I last did pretty much exactly that with a friend, we got 2x TR909 and SH101 - one combo for the demonstration / "lesson", the other for people to fool around. Worked well and was a lot of fun! Everybody loved the 101 sequencer triggered by the 909 rim :thumbright: Of course, we both had the ma...

Re: DX7 is changing voices randomly
...mine does say that, too, but still doesn't keep any patches
I don't mind much, as I always program it from scratch anyways.
Good luck!

Good luck!

Re: DX7 is changing voices randomly
Low batteries can do all sorts of strange things on a DX7... Stuck buttons is not a bad idea either, is it an original DX7 or a II?

Re: Monthly Patching Workout 2015-2017
Time for more silly modular noises on the patching workout :D This patch is based on the idea of using quadrature square LFOs from a Cwejman PH8 to “sequence” different intervals on four oscs. The quadrature arrangement allows for some kind of “sequential trills”. Pretty fun to play around with and ...

Re: Need ideas on setting up a patchbay/changing audio workf
I have everything at patchbays, it's essential IMO. Normalization can help to organize it so you don't need to patch certain configurations. For example, you could have all your synths going to the patchbay and then normalized from there to the Focusrite, so you can also route them somewhere else fi...

Re: How reliable are frequency counters on DMMs?
Forget that. You need a reciprocal counter for proper frequency measurement in the audio range, especially for lower freqs (ca. < 500Hz). Look for a used HP 5315A.

Re: Monthly Patching Workout 2015-2017
I was playing around with a dual paraphonic two-voice patch lately and wanted to share this recording. Nothing complicated this month, just nice analog synth drones :D http://i68.tinypic.com/2qvtwed.jpg https://soundcloud.com/contracommunemopinionem/may-17-dual-paraphony https://soundcloud.com/contr...

Re: Photos of your set-up / studio
Oh, there's much more missing!
But yeah, out of the filters, I only do not have the MMF2 and DMF2 (I have a MMF1 and MMF1s, but they're not racked at the moment). Oh and probably the CRV24, if you wanna count that.
Cheers
