Re: Variar - Shockwaves (Debut Album)

I agree, very nice work.
I hear some TD textures weaving in and out, which is always sweet to my ears.

It's always a great sense of relief and accomplishment to finish a project like this. And as mono wrote, you can be proud of a job well done.

May I ask how long it took to complete?

Re: Prophet 6

Sounds excellent. Some very nice textures there.
I can see once these get in the hands of users, we will be hearing an even broader palette of the true sonic potential of the Prophet 6.
Are these presets on the Prophet 6, edits, homegrown?

Very nice, thanks for taking the time to share these.

Re: Behringer clones Novation Launchpad

no brother it ain't you it was me. :) Sometimes I write stupid stuff and I think I should just go ahead and delete it, but I don't because once it's out there, it's out there for me ugly warts and all. I went off topic and it really was not relevant to your comment. I am very passionate about illega...

[I'm sorry Salwa, I never meant to imply you were stealing anything. And yes, it's a legal product and if you're happy with the product and it helps you make music, that's all that's important. I was diverted by your comment about it's the only way people like me... and it made me think about the il...

Re: Can the MIRAGE - Advice on how to proceed...

I am an old fogey too, so don't feel bad. ;) Great to hear you fired the old gal up and it's still working great. I had a Mirage briefly, and I know from that little bit of time I had, that for a novice, sampling would be extremely frustrating due to it's design and very short sampling time. I also ...

Re: Behringer clones Novation Launchpad

I know, that it's highly controversial and you'll hate me for that, but Behringer is (almost) the only way for people like me to buy something (semi)professional and don't go broke. I'm aware of moral ambiguity of Behringer's market strategy (but also I think it's common in other industries), just ...

Re: Richard Tandy

What a highly underated keyboard player/writer Richard Tandy is. Love that album, and I have the concert from 2001 on DVD. We had tickets to go see the show in Auburn Hills, Mi but a month or so later the tour was cancelled due to lack of ticket sales. Same thing happened with Genesis w/Ray Wilson a...

Re: New single - "I can see Uranus from here"

I've been enjoying listening to these songs you've been posting. Great whacky sense of humor and your music is just as fun. A little different than my regular progfare I enjoy, but still good stuff. I must warn you however, I have the feeling the phrase "I can see Uranus from here" will be stuck loo...

Re: Roland D-50 vs Ensoniq's Transwaves synths

Wow, thank you so much for the insight seamonkey. I really appreciate it. I think my decision will be made for me, as I don't think my partner will let me bring in another 61 keys keyboard until one or more goes out, with the D-550. Thanks everyone for the replies. You're welcome, glad to share my ...

Where are you located? for some reason I thought you were here in the States. If you are, this guy is excellent, even sends instructions http://www.ebay.com/itm/LCD-BACKLIGHT-LUZ-DE-PANTALLA-KURZWEIL-KORG-ROLAND-EMU-O1W-K2000-MPC-MANY-MORE-/271057465604?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f1c48b104 I go...

Re: Could use help figuring out this Emu ESI-32 Sampler

Great news, glad you got it sorted out. I knew you could get it going, and they're well worth having. I love the Emu stuff, the filters are very rich sounding to me and once you get sampling, they're very intuitive. The help you got here is why I love this place. Top notch people always willing to g...

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey

Hi all! So I've spent a bit over a week with my new Korg ARP Odyssey...and I'm loving it!! I'm a "real" keyboard player, been playing for 27+ years, and I'll have to say that after about an hour of playing, I was not only used to the "slim" keybed, I was in love with it! I really like the feel of i...

Re: Guess the sampler........

Ha, love that dirty nasty gritty sound. I voted for the Mirage. I have the EII and even at a lower sampling rate it doesn't get that dirty. Had a Mirage for a couple of months and it reminds me of that. Never heard the Akai. ps..I remember you had an EII briefly(I thought of buying it from you). I a...
