I have their 1st 4 albums - great stuff. I have been looking for the original music video for "On The Loose" but cannot find it - only live stuff. Last time I saw it was in the mid 80's when I was just really getting into synth. I think I remember seeing a Moog The Source being used in the middle 8...

I've been a HUGE Saga fan since the early 70's, followed them even when the only album or cd you could get were imports. I have several concerts from the early days on DVD and live they were mostly using memorymoogs or polymoogs(not sure) minimoogs and the PPG. I highly recommend the World's Apart D...

That really sucks! I've sold some stuff the last couple of weeks, one guy bought my JD990 and pleaded with me to double box it cause he's had such bad luck with gear being damaged. I didn't have an extra box so I took it to UPS Store and they double-boxed it with bubblewrap and peanuts. It cost abou...

NO NO NO! I think you'll regret it down the road. Your going from a 10voice synth to a mono synth. I love the sound of the Studio Electronics stuff but the XT also has it's own sweet unique sound. My advice is if you work and go out to lunch everyday, make your lunch and brown bag it 3-4 times a wee...

My apologies to VSE members and especially JSRockit for my participation in comments which turned the thread into something other than what it was meant to be.
Again, my apoligies to all.

I've found the easiest thing to do is type the words Roland SH-101 on ebay into google search, click on it and once you're on the page look at what all the auctions are going for. If you're not in a hurry follow the auctions for several days and then you'll get an idea of what to pay. Same goes with...

I certainly hope your comment about "getting your facts straight" was a general comment about comments made in this thread and not necessarily in reference to anything I've said. It was an absolutely generalized comment and not pointed to anyone in particular. I was hoping that the sprinkling of sm...

You don't really want to start World War 3 with a discussion whether the Voyager is overpriced do you?? Why not? I was in the room and Bob Moog and Rudi Linhard (who wrote the firmware for the Voyager) first discussed it back in the early-mid-90s... Now mind you, I don't disagree with its pri...

$Solaris..$3499 or Origin $3499?? no brainer as far as I'm concerned. Says the guy who bought a Voyager... I think the Solaris and Origin would (and should) appeal to different types of synthesists. I'd like to have both. :D Bear in mind, the MSRP of the Origin is $2999US, with the ke...

Nice job Carbon111, thanks for helping out John @ NAMM. It was a real privilege! Being able to demo the Solaris for folks in the industry and a number of composers I really respect was like a dream come true. Having three days straight to dig into the engine and its interface was great as well! Now...

XPander's are going for a couple large, and 12's are around 3 to 4 large depending on their condition and serial number. Mine are in those heavy a*s Anvils, from when I had a road crew and management. I really gained alot of respect for those guys when I started moving my own rig around. Act...
