Re: Yamaha Montage synthesizer --- with FM engine!

I'd be surprised if Yamaha didn't continue with its workstation line, too. There's definitely still a pretty wide market out there for them, as well.

Re: Thoughts on the Roland JD-XA?

Looks a genuinely exciting synth to me. Also does genuinely new things in terms of all the complicated digital modulations of the analog voices etc. Best Roland synth since the JD-800 ? could well be I reckon

On the other hand Korg hardly ever pre-announce anything these days... the ms20 mini and karp odyycat came out of absolutely nowhere :.)

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey

Just found this board. So the Oddyessy is being re released. Late 70s I worked for Stateside Electronics in the Uk. We were the Arp distributors. I am a keyboard player so was a great experience. I had a great time for a week being trained at the Arp factory some 20 odd miles from Boston. I had din...

Re: Most vintage-sounding modern polysynth

From what I've heard so far, the Prophet 6. Just as much, although it may surprise some people, the analog oscillator and filter on the JDXI sound more like the Jupiter, JX and Juno series than any synth made since about 1984 - which means the JDXA will too. https://soundcloud.com/synthbug/roland-jd...
