$200 thats a bargain right ? After one myself but I've got a feeling the one I'm looking at on th ebay may go out of my price range soon  I hate it when that happens, especially if it's during the last ten minutes of an auction!! Yes, I think I got a bargain. Good luck on your search for one!...

Hi, Have you tried the JayB an1x patches? They're mostly trance-oriented, but they do show off the an1x's sounds nicely. Get them here: http://jayb.ath.cx/Sounds.php#AN1x There's a demo on Youtube: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PK4pNCEdn7Y Yes, I saw that video last weekend and saved his patches th...

Just got an an1x

Well, I'm sure it wasn't an absolute necessity but when I saw it listed by a fellow kvrian for $200 I couldn't pass it up! Now that I've spent the better part of 3 hours loading banks from the yahoo user group, I've got a pretty good idea of what this thing can do. I absolutely love it! Sort of gras...

Any more suggestions are very welcome! :D
I'd suggest having a look at kvr and do a forum search for favorite/best reaktor ens. Those threads pop up regularly, and I'm always delighted to discover something I've missed.

Reaktor would be my first recommendation, but you might also have a look at Melohman Symptohm from the OhmForce team. "Two unique sample based SyncGrain synthesis (Polyphonic or mono timbral, depending on preference). Create a morphing oscillator out of any sample, and even use multi samples to crea...

you could find an esq-1 for around 100-200 and have a decent keyboard (no aftertouch, though) and a kickass synth. I think I paid around $160 for mine including shipping.

Due to very poor decision making on my part (not to mention, my very first love was guitar) I was probably about 27 when I got my first synth. It was around 1985 and I got a Chroma Polaris. Strange, because this was during the height of the DX7 craze.

That's the sort of synth I picture myself finding since synths didn't seem to make their way to alabama until knobs were "old-school" and little led screens ruled them all. I keep dreaming of that trash score, but I feel like it will never happen. That's not quite true, Tyler. Back in the 80's I wo...

short circuit ver 1 and 2 are both free now; it's not stand alone but if you can find a free vst host, it's an awesome sampler. I'm too lazy to find a link, but go to kvr and look in the database.
