Re: What was the most expensive Synth you ever bought?

1985 i paid $1000 for a Chroma Polaris. A ton of money for a poor guy making $6 an hr. Got it at the music store I worked for. Didn't help my feelings when two months later Fender ceased production and really lowered the price and had I got it then, would have only paid $500. And it sits in my close...

Re: D50 filters - analog or digital?

That's cool. I just bought a TG77, should be here tomorrow. From my reading, D50 and TG77 complement each other rather well. I think I'm all set up with my gear. I had hoped for an FS1R at one time, but being realistic both in financial terms and the limits of my ability, think the TG77 will take me...

MicroKorg - freezes up

There's a MicroKorg in the local Craigs list for $35, but the seller states the unit freezes up when changing patches or
parameters . Any idea what that may be, and if it's a cheap fix?

Re: New D50 editor/vst

No, I actually installed it some weeks ago :D I made all my patches on the front panel, and to be honest I would hate to program all those patches with a mouse. I don't mind programming with the mouse. That editor you posted is rather nice..I like how the bank loaded shows all the presets on the le...

Librarian, editor, everything.
I'd seen that a while back, but apparently never installed it. Looks good! Did you use this in programming
your patch bank?

Just found out about this today, and have been messing around with it . Seems to work pretty good in Cubase. Haven't bought it yet, the page is in German.
Anyone familiar with the developer?

Re: What are you buying yourself for Christmas ?

That's something I'm no good at. I guess I'm just too sentimental, I even keep completely broken gear in case one day it might work again by magic, or I might try to fix it. Me too. I still have my Chroma Polaris in the closet with it's hopeless membrane problem. I bring it out every now and then t...

Re: Chroma Polaris: anyone know how to bulk dump?

The Polaris used that cassette interface for saving dumps to tape. But you can record into any audio program. You should be able to find the cable described in the manual to plug into the Polaris, and then an audio program. The manual says for saving everything press upper function save all progs (y...
