I use Kontakt with Cubase and think it's library is pretty good. Not to mention there are some sample developers doing some rather creative work with the scripts, etc. I haven't seen Halion since ver 1 days, so don't know much about it. I've used Sampletank with SonicSynth, so can't really comment o...

have y'all tried the new slicex in FL8? looks rather tasty, though I haven't figured out how to work it, myself. one thing I used to love doing, was slicing up a bunch of loops in phatmatic pro, and dragging various slices to the pads in dr008 (Battery may be able to do drag n drop, don't rem...

Now a rack mount mono evolver with a full set up knobs would be cool, but Dave has already gone pretty far to satisfy the masses with the various evolver versions as it is! That really would be cool, sort of like the way the Microwave XT is. I'm surrounded by four keyboards and guitars, there's no ...

In the past I've used DR008 and Battery 2. Recently I've got Jamstix 2 and am trying to figure out the best way to use it.

it seems if I start on any note as root 1 and count up six, the sixth note is dead.
Yes I've done the test (turn on and hold transpose at the same time, then pushing poly 1&2) voice 5 is the only one that doesn't make a sound.

one more thing:
every sixth key I press makes no sound. to clarify, from c count up six to f, f makes no sound. f# six up to b, b makes no sound..on up the keyboard, every sixth key..Is that another chip?
If I do decide to keep it, I suppose it would only make sense to replace them all.

thanks for your reply, synthaholic, I was hoping you'd see this. I've just now turned it back on, and the number 5 voice is sounding, however that static sound is immediate, whether I press a key or not. ok, it's getting a bit warmer now so that when I get to the number 5 voice and hold the key down...

Juno 106 problems

Well, I've taken possession of a Juno 106 via an Ebay deal...It was an impulsive decision without any research on my part. After letting it warm up, it did show a faulty chip (#5) in addition to making a static noise. here is a 4 second clip of the sound I'm hearing without touching the keys. Is thi...

Soundtrack to the cartoon in my mind..

davey goes fishin'
you could picture what you like, but my davey is sort of like an early (1930-40's era) Porky Pig. This is his day.

Linplug's Free Alpha would be a good synth to pull this sound off.
