Re: Please recommend me a cheap midi controller/synthesizer

I think an ESQ-1 might be exactly what I'm looking for. Easy to program, large keyboard, can make sounds quickly, plus has the midi features I'm looking for. That is sick! I really dig Joel's music, personally. Like his attitude, too.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

Actually - mine did arrive today! Expected it tomorrow at the earliest, but I'm lucky in that I live in suburb outside of Kansas City and MF shipping warehouse is in KC and UPS hub is a few miles away. UPS hadn't even updated it's status to "out for delivery" and the doorbell rang. Here it is! Firs...

This. My go-to sequencer is Seq24. Basic as can be and gets the job done (for me, anyway) better than anything else I've tried.

Re: Geddy Lee Oberheim Moog mashup synth

How could these musicians afford these mammoth-sized modulars? They must have cost more than a house! We always say that choosing musician as a way of living is a path to disappointment and little money.. Keep in mind at the time they were doing something new and exciting. The record companies knew...

I always liked Jexus' description of the sound:

Re: Goodbye DSI Mono Evolver

All the facebook comments request a Tetra keys version... Isn't that basically a Prophet '08 ?? I miss my MEK. People want a poly analog synth for under a grand. DSI has already said before that they won't do it because it would cost just slightly less than the Prophet. Yeah, I think Dave himself h...
